   Fare Evasion Case: I was caught using a disabled Freedom Pass by TfL and received a verification letter and a Single Justice Procedure Notice to appear in court. As someone working in financial services, I was extremely stressed because a guilty plea would mean a criminal record and could jeopardize my career. With less than two weeks to my court date, I contacted Makwana Solicitors with little hope. However, once I shared evidence of mitigating circumstances, they quickly prepared a letter of representation and emailed it to TfL on Tuesday, just a week before my hearing. By Thursday (in just 48 hours!), TfL responded and agreed to an out-of-court settlement with a warning instead.
