   Terrible negligent unprofessional solicitor Bradley forgot to re new a date on a contract and I lost my very valuable lease !! Now having to sue Kirkwoods . I wish I had been warned beforehand that although he said he knows what he is doing he certainly does NOT know when it comes to commercial leases !

   We both bought & sold a house through Sheenah at Kirkwoods Solicitors this year and cannot speak highly enough about her. Any property transaction during the COVID-19 pandemic will have been challenging and in our case it was particularly so. Throughout a long period with numerous false starts, Sheenah has been simply superb - she is responsive, always has a handle on the detail, is capable and highly effective. We couldn't recommend availing of her services strongly enough.

   Avoid if you require a solicitor who realises its 2020. Derek Englander wanted everything done manually and in person, even with the current situation, no concern for client safety at all. When called by my agent handling my proeprty purchase for an update, he reponded with 'Yeah, what do you want' and claimed I'd sent him no documentation, I had. Also claimed the searches I had would not be accepted by the lender, my newly appointed solicitor confirms they are completely fine. Trying to squeeze me for another £300/400. Top work Derek.

   As a former solicitor myself I am very careful about who I use for legal procedures I can’t do myself. So I was delighted when on recommendation I used Sheena Shah at Kirkwoods for the sale of my late mother’s flat. At a time of stress, both due to my mother’s death and the Covid pandemic, it was a great relief to feel I was in truly capable hands. Sheena knows exactly what she is doing and I could trust her completely. Sheena is very experienced and knowledgeable. She was able to reassure me completely when things got difficult, which they did due to a quirk of my mother’s legal title and other issues that arose. She is pragmatic and explained everything to me that I didn’t understand and was tough when she needed to be but realistic as well. She is also a really lovely person. I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again and highly recommend her to everyone.
