   Covered in dog poop! We’ve used many of these fields before and never have I seen one with so many poops, couldn’t walk a few steps without standing in it. Our dogs were covered in it within 5 mins. Awful experience.

   Booked 1hr. Practice recall. Everything was ok until I realised the amount of holes in ground. Very dangerous and could be fixed so easily. So i did the good deed picking up some random dudu laying about but blooming heck was lots of it scattered around. The gate has decent gap at bottom if smaller dog wanted to get under it..it probably could. Shame because set-up is decent and easy to use. Just the holes everywhere is very concerning.

   Booked the field this morning for the first time 2/3/24 from 810 am till 915 am. I had just arrived and was in the field for 10 mins with my 2 English bulldogs and my great dane when my great dane hurt her foot in a hole in the field. I put my dogs back in the car an upon further inspection the field is full of holes everywhere which is not ideal when it's a place where you want to take your dogs for a run. Now instead of a mornings fun with my dogs it will be a trip to the vets. I expect someone who owns this facility to contact me and at a minimum I will be expecting a full refund. I will not be returning here and would recommend any dog owners not to come. It would be so easy to have a ton bag of sand on site and fill any holes at the end of each day to prevent future injuries to dogs.

   I have a rescue dog who can’t be totally trusted off lead, so the Dog Fields are handy for letting her run free for a while in a controlled environment. I’m part of a group of dog owners and we come here once a week with between 4-6 dogs. The fields are a little muddy now, at the end of winter, but there’s still plenty of grass up the far ends. It’s certainly not cheap for renting a patch of grass, but I don’t grudge them it. They need to run a business and it’s worthwhile, particularly when divided with others. There’s is water provided, little shelters, and poo bags too.

   This is a great place to take your dog(s) for a good run and play. If like me you have a dog that needs to get get rid of its energy but may take off into the distance as soon as you let them off the lead, then look no further. Great value for money and well recommended. No fancy gimmicks, just a wide open field for your four legged friend to go enjoy themself. Oh and the one at Dalkeith is well positioned should you need a coffee or something else hot while you wait for your dog to tire itself out.
