   My partner and I were buying our first house. We had to drop a previous horrid solicitor with Strike and when we received a glowing recommendation for Hugh-Jones we ate our losses and changed solicitors to not have another property fall through, despite Hugh-Jones costing a bit more. Turns out you really do get what you pay for. Gulum at Hugh-Jones proved herself to be very competent and hard working and an absolute pleasure to work with. We were always kept apprised of all developments the same day they were happening and every step throughout the process came with a letter written by Gulum to explain the importance and to provide her experienced observations around the terms et al. Her summaries were very well drafted. In the first day with Hugh-Jones more was accomplished than in 2 months with Strike -- I wish this was an exaggeration but it's not. We went from offer accepted to completion in the span of 3 months and that's over Christmas and with a chain several levels deep. I've got many friends looking to buy in the near future, and will be strongly recommending Hugh-Jones LLP.
