   Tracy Lee here. I went here today for the first time and glad I did. I havent been to a hairdressers for years and was a bit nervous to. I have been shaving the sides of my hair for some time now but am bored of it now and want it grown out. I went in for a cut as my hair had become quite long. I spoke to Alisha and showed her an idea of what I wanted. She listened and delivered the perfect shirt haircut for me. I've never had my hair this short before but I love it. I will be back again.

   EDIT OF MY PREVIOUS REVIEW: My hair looked amazing after a visit to have a cut, blow dry, foils and she got the book out with all the colours for me to do different shades. I had outgrown ginger roots which had taken up my hair over my blonde and it was a big job but she made it look effortless. They offered me tea or coffee which was nice of them. I was there as a treat for myself as I never get my hair coloured professionally but as it was for new years, I wanted to look good…Yes it was over £100 for all the treatments but I would say I was happy with the end result and now love my hair. Tipped the hairdresser as she did a great job! Will come back for another colour and hopefully get the same person, as she was lovely. Taken off a star only for the reason that I felt if they had booked me in for 9am, they should have started preparing at that time but 8.55 rolled around and they had only just got there to open the doors, so I don’t think the process started until 9.15. Felt it would have made more sense to have just booked me in for 9.15am rather than when they opened as it would not of had to have waited around for as long. Another comment I’m going to make as I’m honest is that I was a bit shocked when I saw two brushed with lots of hair in them and I was the first customer, as someone who’s done hairdressing in college, I know it’s important to have your kit clean and free of hair. This did surprise me and it felt unprofessional not having your kit clean and ready before the customer was sat in the chair. -Book in customers for no earlier than 9.15am if you open at 9 -Make sure all brushes are clean of customers hair before using on another customer. This could be done in between customers, before shift and at the end of the shift. I think this is important Otherwise I recommend this hairdressers for colour and cut. EDIT: I DO NOT RECOMMEND GETTING EYEBROWS DONE HERE AS THIS IS THE SECOND TIME IVE HAD MY TINT/WAX GO WRONG from this place. I’ve had my eye brows done at lots of different places with no issues (rashes or cuts) but here I’ve had a rash from their tint and the latest issue which is why I’m editing my review… basically cut my face from a wax, how?? It did sting a bit when I walked out but it wasn’t until I got home and my partner saw me that he pointed it out, it was stinging too much and it felt weird… A PICTURE of what it looks like now there getting the tint and wax (the cut is still hurting & it’s days after now). Never had this happen at other eye brow places, shouldn’t have gone to a place that doesn’t specialise only in that… Indians always do it better and threading is always more accurate so I’ve learnt my lesson! Also it’s dark brown but I’ve noticed hairs missed so I have some obvious light hairs… for £18 it’s a rip off!! Rather go all the way to Cardiff to get it done. Hair services are good but don’t recommend the wax or tinting.

   Went here pre-covid and couldn't fault it brilliant but went here less than a month ago as I wanted a completely different look and to be honest I walked away not happy at all it wasn't as bright as I wanted and now less than a month later all the colour has gone and I've only washed my hair 2 a week and my hair is now so damaged rest assured I won't be making a return.

   If I could give no stars I would... Went here for the first time with my little girl, she had a big standard cut and blow dry and I had a hair colour and cut... Firstly, they all use they're own hairdryers and hair sprats which looks so unprofessional... When I had my hair washed I could smell mould, there was hair all over the floors and nowhere to put anything infront of me because they leave their stuff everywhere! Staffseemed nice enough but unfortunately I had to ask to hair the red hair dye stain removed from my forehead and was handed a towel to do it myself, also they didn't check the lengths on both side of mine or my daughters was the same length. No care... In and out service. Styled our hair nice but hid the problems until we had to wash and style ourselves.. My daughters hair was a lot longer one one side than the other and I paid £30 for her cut.... Won't be returning.... Felt uncomfortable the whole time I was there.

   Can't recommend Lee enough! She has the hands of experienced talent and a perfectionist. Her experience truly shows as your hair becomes her canvas. The whole team are Marvelous and the hairdresser's is conveniently located in the heart of Cwmbran. Ta everyone, absolutely love my hair
