   I contacted Karen Cole at RIAA Barker Gillette through a recommendation from a close family friend, regarding an employment dismissal dispute. From the start Karen was very upfront with her expectations and the associated costs that were to be expected with undertaking the dispute. She worked diligently and professionally, and within a week of contacting Karen, the dispute had been settled with my former employer, resulting in a very positive outcome. I was highly impressed with Karen's professionalism and knowledge with how to approach such a situation. Highly recommend working with RIAA to anyone.

Originally from a different country I had no idea where to start, I'm also self-employed and the property was newly converted, next to a river so there had to be lot of legal questions asked and responses reviewed to ensure it is a safe buy.    I used RIAA for conveyancing services on a property I sold earlier in the year. The solicitor I engaged for my case, unfortunately left the firm very early on in the sales process and my case was handed over to Sharon Young, who dealt with my case right up until a few days before completion. I incredibly unhappy with the service I received from Sharon. I found her slow and incompetant. I would repeatedly have to chase her for a response. When I spoke to her on the phone, she would forget what we last spoke about, or what had recently happened in my case, giving the impression that she was overworked and had so many clients to deal with, that she found it hard to remember them all. I would have to go over everything we had last spoken about to catch her up with where things were at. She would ask me to fill out forms that I had already filled out. She would ask me for information that I had already provided her with. Her incompetance made the whole experience so much more stressful than it needed to be. She also only worked 3 days a week, which made things move even slower. I am giving my review 2 stars because I cannot fault the service I received from Martin Alfreds who took over my case right at the very end just before completion because Sharon was on holiday. He was the complete opposite of Sharon. Responded straight away, got back to you when he said he would and made me feel like he knew what he was doing which I never felt with Sharon. I don't like to give such a negative review of an individual, but I feel like I need to be honest about my experience as I wouldn't want someone to have to go through the same stress as I did and I think people should know what they are signing up for.
