I’ve been going to Franco’s for about a year now, having previously tried almost twenty different barbers across Bristol. I wanted to transition from a skin fade to a longer hairstyle, so I was looking for somewhere with excellent reviews and a barber who could guide me through the change. For my first appointment, I chose Franco himself, and I haven’t looked back since. He was very straightforward and explained that my hair needed to be much longer to achieve the style I wanted. Even so, he managed to make it look as good as possible during the awkward growing-out stage. It’s refreshing to have a barber who shares genuine opinions and expertise rather than just going through the motions. He even recommended leaving longer gaps between cuts to let my hair grow properly, which gave me confidence that his advice was really about what was best for my hair. I’m very happy with my hairstyle now. I go in every five to six weeks, and I’ve also become a fan of their products, which are high quality and fairly priced. A few months ago Franco even gave me a complimentary haircut a couple of days before my wedding to ensure I looked my best. In short, while it may be a little more expensive than the average barber, the quality of service makes it excellent value for money. I would definitely recommend Franco’s.

Been going to Franco’s barber for a year now. My guy Harrison always sorts me out. I’ve got a receding hairline and he just knows how to shape and style it in a way that actually suits me. Proper skilled! Always coming out happy. And big respect to Mr Franco as well, always keeping the place welcoming and the whole experience on point!
As a new client who travels internationally, finding a consistent barber who gets it right the first time is incredibly rare — but that’s exactly what I found here. From start to finish, the experience was seamless. Booking was prompt, the shop is in a great location, and the setup is clean, stylish, and held to a high professional standard. My haircut was executed flawlessly by Franco, the owner himself. His attention to detail and expertise were immediately clear. The knowledge and insight I gained in just one session were genuinely impressive. The only downside? I’m only in the area for four months, so unfortunately I can’t make Franco my go-to barber long term. Overall, it’s a solid 10/10. Don’t change a thing.
Got my hair cut and completely restyled here after a long time not visiting a barber. Millie did an amazing job, very friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely be returning when I need a trim.
Franco's: king of the low taper alien fade! I have received a haircut at Franco's on three occasions with three different barbers. On each occasion I have received what I can only describe as the 'low taper alien fade'. It's essentially a really low fade that leaves a lot of bulk around the upper portion of the sides and back, creating the illusion of an enormous 'alien-like' head. On one of the three occasions I asked for the recommendation of the barber, so I suppose that's on me. But on the other two occasions I asked for a "medium fade on the back and sides, keeping some length on top." By far the worst experience I had was with Franco himself. With Franco I made sure to ask specifically for a medium 'skin fade.' He then literally told me he thinks people with skin fades look "ill" and tried to passively aggressively convince me to get a different style. After an awkward debate, I was forced to settle with a medium fade from a 0.5mm. This would have been okay but in classic Franco style, it just ended up being a low taper alien fade. I get the sense that the barbers in that shop have something against fades, so if you ask for one they'll do everything in their power to avoid giving it to you. After three tries, I have finally learned my lesson. I shall not be returning to Franco's. Excuse the brutal burn but, I can see why Franco's wife divorced him. Nobody wants a lower taper alien fade bud. Note: Luke was a sound guy but still bad haircut unfortunately.
Came in recently for a haircut, was served by a lovely gentleman called Harrison. He gave me an impressive trim 11/10 definitely coming back and recommending to my friends!
Got my little brother in last week for a re-style as it was getting out of hand. Really knowledgeable and supportive staff (Luke) who took the time to talk through everything with him including at the end regarding styling! Super lovely to see him come back with a smile on his face (this never happens post haircut usually!)
