I've been going to Jack's Barbershop at The Gallery in Wrington on and off for about 9 months now as my barber of 20 years (I've known her since she was an apprentice at Vidals) is working fewer and fewer days now, and rarely on the days that I am in London (I'm co-located between Somerset and the SE). I approach any new barber with trepidation as I've had some shockingly bad haircuts in the past (I used to travel abroad a lot for work), or I've had what seem like excellent haircuts but which look rubbish a week later (I call this the 'Italian Barber Business Model'). Jack does very good haircuts and outstandingly good beard trims - and both hair and beard look good weeks later. Strongly recommend. You can book an appointment via his Facebook page, and apparently he will have a non-Facebook web app or something, up and running soon-ish. Alternatively if you are in the village, just knock on the door. Point to note: Jack seems to be getting busier and busier so recommend that you book early.
