Hels is my go to hairdresser now after my last hairdresser moved away. I recently went in for a restyle and she absolutely nailed the brief! I’ve received lots of compliments on my hair - thanks Hels! Highly recommend Hels for cut and Selina for balyage colour. Lovely salon, with lovely people who make you feel at home.
Since finding Hels on instagram and seeing her amazing work, I was eager to get booked in. I was looking for a shag-style cut with choppy framing whilst keeping the length of my hair, and was finding it hard to choose a place in Bristol. I was not disappointed! I’m so happy with my cut, and the experience was made even better from having a lovely and fun time with Hels. She made me feel at ease and did exactly what was asked, and even gave me tips on styling! I highly recommend getting booked in!
I've had my hair cut by Hels a number of times now and she is an absolute pleasure to visit. She always does a great job with the cut itself, advises on how to style it and is super friendly and chatty. She can just capture what I want in the cut so well, so will definitely be visiting again!

This is the second time I’ve visited blockwork. This time, to have my super dull hair highlighted by Hels. She did just the most perfect job! Totally listened to what I was looking for but with her epic skills and experience made that look so great, She took so much care doing my colour. I left with such a lovely looking head! I’ve been looking for a place like this for years. There are some seriously talented hair stylists in this basement! 100%recommend!
Hels was really lovely and she knew exactly how to cut my hair. She was also really nice to chat with and made me feel welcomed and comfortable through out my appointment. I will definitely be going back and would recommend Hels and Blockwork to anyone who wants a really good hair cut.
I never know how I want my hair and I usually show up with a mop-head. Greg knows what really suits my face. He talks his idea through with me and then proceeds to do his magic. I walk out every time feeling absolutely fantastic. Greg is super friendly and it’s always nice to have a chat with him. Greg is one of the best stylist I’ve been to.
