Went in today and was happy with my experience! Lovely atmosphere with friendly customers and nail techs. Very, very pleased with my nails (I had BIAB and nail art)

I have been getting my nails done here for a little while now and today was the first time I completely uncomfortable. Before, they have messed up the sets a bit and i’ve been okay with that and never said anything, but now I will never return to this shop. Firstly, they cut my finger and it bled, bear in mind this cut is a decent bit deeper than a paper cut, and nothing was done about it while it was bleeding, which is a serious hygiene issue to start! Secondly, I paid via bank transfer as there are no cash machines near by. They then say I haven’t paid, I deal with this as politely and try and fix the issue with them and had proof that I did pay, but they changed their bank details and didn’t make this clear to me. They then humiliate me in front of the shop, shout at me, demand my personal details and continued to accuse of not paying. They check the details and claim I have paid someone else, despite this bank account being a number I have paid them with before and had no issues with. Helen and Mark belittled me infront of other customers and made me feel very unwelcome The issue was eventually resolved, but either way I am incredibly dissatisfied with my experience here because they disregarded me and didn’t let me speak. The apology I received was incredibly disappointing too, and they continued to act like it was my fault when this is a clear issue on their behalf. I would never return this salon to anyone ever again. I was overcharged for the nail set I had done compared to their usual prices of sets i’ve had in the past by them. Their customer service is terrible and their nails aren’t the best either. In the past, they have gossiped about other customers to the whole shop seconds after they leave which is an incredibly innapropriate work ethic to have. After all, these people are paying for a service and for the owners to do this is incredibly upsetting.

I completely forgot to write this review. I went to Norton Nails in December after coming back from Uni to get some christmas nails. I’ve been going to Norton Nails for more than 4 years and have loved every set. However, this acrylic set I received lasted 2 weeks as some started to come off. I returned to get an infill like I normally would but was told I’d have to get a brand new set and a removal which would cost way too much on a Uni budget. I was surprised by this as I find my nails normally last 3 weeks and can have around 2 infills before needing a new set. very disappointed. The staff were also arguing throughout the appointment and were switching between clients.

I have used this place once before a long time ago after moving from Essex and I loved my nail salon there. But I took my niece for a manicure there, her first one and I was so upset by the time I left. First of all, I grew my nails out for the visit for hard gel and I told them that only one nail I broke needed a false tip. I told the technician that I wanted square nails, the length of my fingertip and I had cut, shaped and filed two as an example. He proceeded to cut all my nails off, and put on the false tips I hate to have on until they grow out and it’s gel and my nails only. He was so rude. THREE technicians worked on me, two of them barely spoke a word of English and you don’t always have to understand a different language to know when you’re being made fun of and talked about. My niece I made sure I stood there and they did exactly what I wanted, which they argued with and I told them we couldn’t do it their way because she can’t wear what they wanted when she goes back to school. I’ve never had to argue more. None of them took care of my cuticles, my French tip square nails are almost convex in the middle and I am really upset they cut off my hard work of growing and showing them exactly what I wanted and only because they charged me per finger for extensions to make my nails as long as they naturally were before they were cut. They went back in forth in their language about what to charge me for my niece and I understood the numbers they were throwing around and they overcharged me on purpose for my niece’s “manicure” which was simply painting her nails. Also, I got yelled at when instead of putting my nails under the light to cure, I slowly work my fingers in otherwise the intensity they use over time causes the product to cure quickly and causing me painful pressure on my fingernails. I got yelled at for doing that and when I explained it to the guy who spoke the most English he rolled his eyes and said “whatever”. So due to all of that, I didn’t tip them. I’m a Canadian expat here and I support those who immigrate like I did and work hard and contribute to their community. But I don’t appreciate them using that language to make fun of me. I have a translation app that I managed to catch a bit of their conversation and I was so upset at what they were saying about me and their customers. I will never ever go back. OH! And they were so aggressive with the nail file, they left small cuts on my fingers and I complained and he kept doing it. He then kept pulling at and trying to straighten my fused and bent pinky that I sustained in an accident years ago that is fused in that position and can’t move. He kept trying to do it and I said “OW, it doesn’t move!!!” If you look at my pinky and ring finger, you can see the small cuts from the files (this is a week later so they are healing) and my untouched cuticles. I also still have white paint from the tips glued on my fingers I can’t pick off.

Been coming here for around a month now and was meaning to write a review last time. Nothing is too much for the technicians, they are always so patient with me :)) my nails always look stunning at the end especially for the prices I pay!! Couldn’t ask for more, no complaints from me.

I have recently switched nail salons and this one is seriously amazing. My previous nails lasted longer than four weeks and endured a day of surfing and lots of gym sessions. I really can’t believe none broke! Highly recommend really friendly staff and very clean shop.
