they have been nothing short of professional and helpful I do not understand where the negative comments come from, apart from other lesser debt management agencies, they are highly recommended /. they are far more helpful than step change

This company operates under a few disguises. Hanover Insolvency Ebengate… seems to be the parent company. They use a call centre in Mauritius, which is a nightmare to communicate with. To pay it off early is extremely difficult, when I wanted to pay it off and said that I’d saved some extra money they hit the roof and said how could I have saved money. If I had saved money then that’s extra income and my payments would increase. I had to get a friend to pay it off once they had provided proof they had the money. Your proposal to pay of your IVA has to be agreed by your creditors… which they can REFUSE. They will do whatever they can to increase your payments because of extra income. They sell this is a five year plan… DONT BE FOOLED… an IVA will stay on your credit file for SIX YEARS YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET CREDIT FOR SIX YEARS. They will try and trap you in to payments for six years and not five years. Please remember that they want to get back as much money as possible for your creditors. It’s a trap and a nightmare to get away from it. It’s left me feeling suicidal. It could ruin your life please be careful.

*** AVOID *** A disgrace of a company. They have no customer service and just repeat like a robot. They have logged all my payment data incorrectly, which does not help when I need to open a bank account and it looks like I am inconsistent with payments. I have paid on time, every single month for nearly 6 years. When asked to look into this and when asked to change it, 'it's not our fault', well it is, it's your system. Robotic responses and talking over you. They were happy to 'sell' this service but I have to beg for incorrect data following that. I am not sure why they have a telephone customer service department as they cannot say anything other that a robotic, repeated sentence. 'It's not our fault, there is nothing we can do'. I gain a yearly statement, (which is incorrect) and there is nothing they can do to change anything until the next yearly statement. So if within a 12 month period, if you move house, change your name, need something editing, don't ask them, don't even bother to ask for any paperwork to prove your dates or data as they will only send an old statement, with incorrect data. It would have been much easier to go bankrupt as this company is an absolute joke.

One start is too much. Horrible customer service, I asked several times via email for the phone call and no respond. Not answering my email or my questions. They put me in breach for no reason, I was on IVA but they tried to put me in bankruptcy even that i wanted to pay off everything. They rise up my monthly payment because they noticed "extra income", that was my money back form my layer after the case shut. They also raised up my monthly payment when I went on maternity and my income was much lower! Absolutely horrible!!!!

I've been with Creditfix for 4 years now. I've been making payments that have gradually increased over the years and everything, up until this year, has been pretty smooth. The reason I'm giving them two stars is because communicating with them is more or less impossible when it's not to do with a late payment or a financial review. This week I've spent a total of 3 hours trying to make them understand that I want to pay off the remaining amount on my account and asking them to contact my creditors to set up the final payment. I've sent emails and I've called them and not once did I hear "Yeah I can do that for you". It was just "yeah so paying the amount off, we'll have to check your finances first". Literally did a financial review this last couple of weeks. I've explained to 4 different people on the phone that my financial situation is completely fine, explained I have loads of disposable income and I'd like to pay off the remaining amount and it's like talking to a child that doesn't know how to talk yet. I sent a huge email to them complaining about this and how I just want the IVA to be done, detailing my financial situation, sending my bank statements, sending all the information they will ever need about me and I get an email this morning saying "Failure to contact us would result in a potential increase to your monthly contribution, without further notice." So they don't read my email, don't respond to the email and now treat me like I'm defaulting on something when I'm literally trying to be debt free...which is what there designed to do. If you want to pay of your debt and write it off, but never increase your payments, never actually talk to this company about anything and just send them your yearly financial reviews, then go with Creditfix. If you want to pay off debt, be communicated with in a professional manner about such an important thing, then go with another company. I basically want to pay off the remaining amount on my account which is £600, I told them I can make that payment in November, told them to tell my creditors that because it's a larger amount and I've zero response to my request. I originally told them what I wanted to do over a week ago. So my plan now is to stop contacting them, let my last set payment come out in November and then pay the remaining amount. I'll then contact them to confirm the full amount is paid and HOPEFULLY close the account.
