   I was recommended to speak to Mark by a colleague and wasn’t disappointed. I have dealt with brokers in the past and never truly felt like they had my best interests at heart which I could tell Mark did from our first appointment.    Deeply unhappy with the service from mortgage adviser here. We are first time buyers and had our verbal offer accepted on a dream home. The adviser neglected to advise us to get the written offer in immediately via the solicitor we had already spoken to, instead advising us to use his solicitor (who we found out the following day had been on holiday at the time!). The next day we lost the house as a massive offer came in from another buyer. The estate agent told me that this situation was highly unusual as normally when a verbal offer is accepted, the solicitor gets in touch immediately. Obvious but not to us as we are new to it all. I can only conclude that the adviser was acting in his own interests and expecting kickback from his solicitor for drumming up interest. Either that or he has no clue about how the housing market works. Either way, avoid at all costs.
