   The worst taxi I've ever used in my life! Extremely rude driver!!!!! Pay for yelling at me? I don't even want to give them a star!!!!!! AVOID!!!!!

   As a customer whom lives less than 100yds from the Clover Taxi office I have historically tried to support my local businesses by giving them trade. My family regularly use them for visits to friends when I am not able to give them a lift, or when we go to the airport. But never again. I am not sure if its just this one rogue driver, but on the two occasions that he has picked up my teenage son he has overcharged him. As my sons route is a regular journey I usually call in advance to agree the fare - usually between £10-£12 for the 5.5 mile journey each way. It has typically been this for the last year. The first time the driver overcharged was when he charged him £14 for an agreed fare of £10. To be fair to the office, they got him to come back and honour the original quote and he returned £4 after I complained. I explained that there is more than one firm I could use and when I agree a fare for my vulnerable teenage son when he is travelling on his own, then I don't expect it to be changed on the whim of an opportunistic driver. Yet, here we are again. The same driver - whom apparently has only came back after some time off - has done it again, but this time charged him £20 for the same journey! Whilst I appreciate that fuel costs have increased in the last couple of months, and probably wouldn't have objected to paying a bit more, by anyones standards, this is just greed. My son is quite shy and the driver probably hoped he could chance it. Unfortunately for him my son only had £10 on him and to his surprise, I was at home to challenge him, but he wouldn't budge. So sadly for Clover, this mans greed has cost them my family and I's future business. How short sighted can you get. My advice is to use a more honourable firm, or if you do use them, make sure you have your quote in writing.

   AVOID AVOID AVOID. Extremely rude driver who started arguing us when we politely asked why the journey was more expensive than what was quoted to us on the phone. The company completely took advantage of our vulnerable situation by telling us we would have to share the cab to our destination with somebody else. This was not the problem, the problem was they charged the other guy £12 and when he got off the driver bumped the meter to £5.50 and claimed £13.50 from us at the end of the journey which was actually a 5 min ride from where he had dropped the other guy off. Absolute scam, disgusting rude behaviour from the driver who started yelling at us and telling us central london would be more expensive which had no relevance whatsoever. We just paid his money and left the car while he rolled down his window and continued yelling, shameful behaviour, it was midnight and he had no consideration of how loud he was being. Will 100000% not be using this taxi company again.

   Really rude driver who completely over charged me just because he knew I had no other way of getting home, tried to claim his price would be better than the meter but then refused to use it. Then tried to claim someone else was asking for my exact journey (which is highly unlikely) for a higher price. Basically took advantage of my desperate situation.
