We booked an 8 person vehicle to and from a family party. The car was clean and comfortable and arrived on time for both journeys with a lovely driver. Would definitely use again!

I really don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I feel like I have to share what happened — especially because it involved my baby’s safety. We booked a car rental with airport pickup and requested a baby seat in advance. The driver showed up 15 minutes late, which was frustrating after a long flight, but things quickly went from bad to worse. The baby seat wasn’t installed when we arrived, and when the driver tried to set it up, it was in pieces — no linen, totally unprepared, and clearly not cleaned. He couldn’t figure out how to assemble it properly, so I ended up trying to do it myself. Even then, the seatbelt wouldn’t tighten securely, and I didn’t feel safe putting my baby in it at all. Then we noticed the seat was full of moths. And to top it all off, there was a huge spider hiding in the lining. It was honestly horrifying. I couldn’t believe this was the standard they considered acceptable — they clearly hadn’t checked or cleaned anything. This experience was not just inconvenient, it was dangerous. I would never recommend this company to anyone, especially if you’re traveling with kids. They put my baby at risk, and that’s something I can’t overlook.
A1 Cars are absolutely amazing. So professional and helpful. Always turning up on time, helping with the luggage, parking nearby at the airport. We have used them for years for airport drop offs and pick ups and I honestly can’t fault them. I always recommend them to friends. Thank you A1!
I had booked a car to take us to Heathrow at 4.30 am. The driver did not turn up and did not answer his phone. A1 did not answer either. I luckily managed to get an Uber which was cheaper. Won’t use again. The Uber driver recommended using AtoZ. Apparently they always have a spare driver on standby. I’ve not tried them but will use them to pick me up on my return journey.
Our family has been using A1 Cars for MANY years - as long as I can remember - airport pickups, home to airport pickups - and they are outstanding. I just flew (family emergency) from USA to London - driver was there on time but Lufthansa had lost my luggage so I had a two hours wait to figure out what was going on - Driver Mohsin kept in touch via text (whatsapp using airport wifi) - was very patient - had not yet gone and parked (which I was thankful for) because airport parking is crazy expensive - he was just awesome. I was stressed enough and his patience and helpfulness was wonderful. He was a fantastic driver - could not have been more helpful. My return from the hotel to the airport was just as good except I forgot to get the driver's name - he was a gracious gentleman too, excellent driver - and I am most grateful to A1 Cars. I DID overhear two women (while waiting for the plane) complaining that normally a taxi to the airport would cost them 80 pounds - but because it was new years eve, they were charged DOUBLE - it made me even happier because of A1's excellent rate (50 pounds plus the airport drop off fee) - I made all the arrangements with them via email, they responded VERY fast and were flexible when I had to make some changes. I will continue to use A1 cars and am VERY glad that there is such a great car/limousine company like this with such gracious, professional and helpful drivers. THANK YOU AND HAPPY NEW YEAR.
Have always been on time picking us up. Prices very competitive and always better than an Uber or Addison Lee. Sometime website / app states better price than when you call. But always find us a driver whether for short or long trips and even on holidays.
I would not recommend A1 cabs. I had an taxi booked from Heathrow which was 40 minutes late. My flight has already arrived 2 hours earlier so it was long time waiting. I don’t expect them to arrive 2 hours earlier but do expect them to monitor the flight and at least try not to be very late. You can’t get a telephone number for the driver as they have to transfer you from the main office which is impossible when your being asked to go car park various levels and there are multiple car parks. Very stressful. I will not use them again
Booked taxis for 10 of us, different drop off and pick up points, to get to central London wedding and back on a busy Saturday. All pick ups were early and waiting, we were dropped off on time and all in great comfort. Thanks for the helpful team in the booking office that supported as we changed plans. Great experience and having rang a few places this was also the cheapest. Highly recommended business.
