Firstly, the positive aspects: The driver arrived on time and lifted the luggage into the car. Contrary to what we had discussed on the phone in advance, the journey of seven minutes (1 mile) did not "only" cost £15, but an additional £3 was charged for paying by card. This is extremely non-transparent and was not communicated in advance.
Not a pleasant experience. When booked, I was told £10 but the driver said £12 when in the car. But then eventually he called and confirmed with his office and agreed for £10. (Same journey paid star cars £8). The driver stopped in the middle of the road to pick us up claiming the side was zigzag line so taht was the option and other cars were horing badly, this is a poor driver'sskills. Driver does not know the route, does not follow the map, he chose his own road then got angry that he had to go round as a road was close due to road work, (well if he followed map then this wouldnt have happened. Poor English speaking skills and was mumbling in bengali. They need lot to improve.
I was visiting the City for a week in May to carry out some reviews of local venues and hotels as a travel writer. In the weeks prior to my trip, I contacted Dill at East One Cars to see if I could pre-book some cabs to various destinations. I made around four bookings in all on different days, and each time, the driver turned up on time without any problems. All prices were given to me beforehand via email (fixed prices), so I knew exactly how much the cost would be for each journey. Had no problems whatsoever with the bookings, so I was able to reach the destinations I needed to visit without any issues. Very impressed, and I will certainly do the same again next time I go to the City.

Service provided by a nightclub. Driver turned away a mentally disabled service user for displaying common symptoms of a panic attack - in this case it was hands on her head. The driver drove away while the door was open and customer was at the door, almost running over her feet. This treatment of service users with ND disorders is unacceptable. Next car provided took the customers without explaining terms and conditions of payment up front, which lead to being asked to pay half way through the journey. When asked to pay the journey join completion journey upon request of customer, the customers were verbally shouted at and harassed by the phone service, they would not allow the car to move Which ended up on customers (3 single and vulnerable females) feeling unsafe in the hands of the company and being chucked out in the middle of London. Even though payment was guaranteed at the end of the trip as per organised in the original phone calls. Not a female friendly service nor a disability friendly service.
Arrived quickly which was good, but only wanted to accept cash which is awkward & I was taken to a cash point. Rang up head office to ask for a receipt as I was in a rush and forgot to ask the driver at the end of the journey, but was told I can not have one now. So unable to claim money back from work.
Fast and reliable taxi service. My driver Ibrahim was absolutely wonderful. Very professional and efficient. Chatty and engaging , which I like, as I always like to chat with the drivers. The journey from Spitalfields to Heathrow didn't seem like a journey at all! I would highly recommend this local taxi service to Neighbours.
What a lovely company. Very punctual, kept us informed of arrival times, friendly drivers and easy to book. Good prices for London too and gave us an accurate quote first. We used them three times during our two night stay and I will certainly use them again on our next stay. I have no hesitation in recommending this company.
