I’ve never had a problem with this company before — they’re usually reliable and fairly priced. But on 24th July 2025, I had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a taxi service. I booked a ride through the app and paid with Apple Pay. The driver was supposed to arrive in 4 minutes, but it ended up taking over 10 because he kept going the wrong way. The app wouldn’t let me enter my actual door number — only the top of my road, even though my house is just a few seconds away from there. No exaggeration — it’s about a 10-second walk or a 2-second drive. Barely any distance at all. When I came outside, the driver started questioning where I lived and instantly spoke to me in a rude, aggressive tone, telling me I should’ve put my door number. I tried to explain that the app didn’t let me, but he just cut me off and started ranting about how he’s been sworn at by other customers because of this issue. Even if he was frustrated, the way he spoke to me was completely unacceptable — loud, rude, and even pointing at me while telling me not to do it again. I would’ve understood if he had just explained it politely, but instead I was treated with attitude and aggression. Horrible customer service and a terrible experience overall.

As per my previous review which was asked to be deleted. Here is proof that this was lawlors. Absolutely terrible service which charged me £18 for a 2 mile trip. When questioned, the lady on the phone was rude and adamant that I had to pay the full charge. I took the driver on a shortcut which the cut the journey short, down to 2 miles, as it was closer to my destination, there was no wait time for the driver, and I was charged £18 for 2 miles. Terrible experience and won’t be using again. Picture attached for confirmation.

Absolutely disgusting! Walked in to the office around 00:30 and got quoted £29 to go to Harlow which we agreed to. Cab pulled up outside and we got straight in. When being dropped off the driver then said it was £35!? When we questioned him and rang the office the lady said it was a “waiting time charge” as we stood outside the taxi “talking” which we ABSOLUTELY DID NOT. Total lies to rack the price up!! I will NEVER use this taxi company again. I will always use an Uber from Epping station now on. Way cheaper!

I've used Lawlors since moving to Epping over 7 years ago. They have been consistently excellent. The drivers are friendly and arrive on-time for pre-booked trips. The office is incredibly helpful in ensuring the right driver and vehicle type is obtained when booking and there have also been improvements in the app over the years. I would recommend without hesitation.

Avoid at all costs. Never have taxi's available. Rude and unprofessional. I prefer to catch a minicab from outside of the station which, funnily enough, are much more available and reliable and reasonably priced.

Another victim of C19. It used to be a decent service, but now.... a barking person on the phone is not good news from the start. Was late 4mins getting to the station, the taxi turned away and "your ride is completed" popped up. The office claim they did not have a booking, while it is clearly showing on the app. Quality - none.
