Got refused to buy Kettle Descaler because I didn’t have ID, but there is no legal age limit to buy this in the UK. I only wanted to get some cleaner for my kettle and the woman serving embarrassed me in front of a queue of people. I am 27, for reference. Ridiculous honestly and lost a customer because of this. I have no idea why ID was requested for a cleaning product. Ah well, Tescos over the road was more than helpful and my kettle is now clean, no thanks to wickes. Disappointing really!

The standard of any organisation is measured in how they perform under pressure. My experience over the years has been when it's very quiet here, such as one customer, the experience is fine but poor service increases in proportion to customer numbers. I do click and collect to secure what always seems to be low stock levels. I go to click and collect counter but never is there staff there. You wait either in line or untill all buy and pay customers have been served. Under pressure conditions they don't increase staff at tills so queues invariably grow. The nature and number of items often purchased here takes time to checkout and so queues grow. Click and collect customers wait. So how to fix, remove the click and collect counter OR staff this counter with one member and put others on the three remaining tills. There really is little point in running click and collect here if the managers can't manage it. Having It just sets an expectation that they repeatedly fail to meet. Simples!

Slow staff. Unhelpful. Needs a massive overhaul. Staff always chatting to each other instead of working. Click collects not ready a lot of the time and end up getting it myself. Store parts always closed off. I spend thousands there every year, just needs to be run better.

Customer satisfaction is zero, they do the job of deceiving and defrauding people I don't recommend……

Great stock, cheaper than Screwfix, I managed to buy everything I needed and more. Staff were also quick and helpful. It makes a change from the Kingston store where staff weren't so helpful!

I popped In to MSN store today with my son who needed steel toe capped boots,I asked a member of staff named Charlie who was extremely friendly & helpful & gave us advice & personal preference to the product we were buying. I told Charlie my son had just started college but was not enjoying it & is unsure what to do he was extremely kind towards my son & telling him about his personal experience about leaving school he reasured my son told him not to worry he was the same & he is doing well.He also suggested my son drops a CV in & when they are looking for work he will give him a call. Charlie is a great asset to Wicks & I hope he gets recognised for his great work.

On two occasions, I've had to call the MSN branch regarding returns & have spoken to Charlie. While I can't remember the specific details for my first call because it was some time ago, I can remember him. He is a credit to the store & to Wickes. Polite, friendly, helpful, professional & reasonable. Something so rare these days that it's worthy of a special comment. If only customer service was this good everywhere, we'd be a less stressed nation. Being polite & kind costs nothing but a moment of your time yet makes a huge difference.

It's got a big range of products depending on the job your doing they will likely have all of the stuff you need. The shop is well layed out so easy to find what your looking for. There is a kitchen and bathroom area with displays. This store has paint mixing available. There is a customer toilet. A great place to get supplies for your DIY projects.

Is really handy to have this store locally since the closure of the Focus and Casswells. This is far more DIY focused than somewhere like B&Q - but for materials it's not bad although a bit more pricey than other places. Staff always seem pretty friendly but the main tills never seen to be open and you end up paying at the customer service/order desk - which leads to a bit of a trolley jam. Convenient out of town location, with a big car park
