   I use to shipped with Ty shipping sometimes twice per year for the past 4years when Shamel was there .She was very professional and provided great customer service. However my last 2 shipment was not good ! Especially the last one which was in October 2024 .I sent 2 barrels and a small box .I was charged £75 each for the barrels and £65 for the box .So I decided to put a small bag with other items to be wrapped together since i was paying that amount ! And as usual I put my name and another family member name on the barrels just incase I could not get to travel they could collect . First i was not told that the agent in jamaica was changed and that I also have to go to a different area for collection. However when i finally got there and went through the procedure of paying to collect my barrels and while i was inside for them to open the barrels my partner came and told me that the agent is requesting another $6,500 Jamaican dollars saying that the box and bag that was wrapped together was in his name only so the allowance that i got from the airport did not cover those .Mind you like I said before my name was always the fist name on the barrels or box in care of any other name below .At first I refused to pay as i have never experienced anything like that before .But I was told if I do not pay i won't be getting those 2 pieces . Further when I looked at the barrels I noticed they have removed the name of my partner from both and left my name only and the same was done on the bag and box pack. The other way around my name was removed and left his. And then to found out that the Agent in jamaica and the woman at Ty shipping are best friends That's when I realised this was most likely done to get more money from me . As the of $6,500 payment 1,500 was to custom and the balance of $5,000 was to QUICK SILVER SHIPPING SERVICE.

   Do not use this company for home delivery! Many things were stolen! Out! Of course the best things! So angry! It's always sorry! Sorry can't bring my precious things back!!

   Two stars for incompetence. We shipped 2 barrels. The first barrel was received as promised - 5 weeks later. The second barrel was shipped September 23 and today is November 21 and the company in Jamaica claims they have not received the barrel. We cannot get an explanation as to what is happening. Stay away from this company.

   First time using TYI Freight & Shipping. The experience was great! Excellent team to people from UK to JA. I remember the morning when the barrels were booked for collection. The van picked up a flat tire but Omar insisted he's coming to get the barrels on the agreed time. The van was on 5 wheels (1 down) but the bottom line is the commitment to the commitment. Excellent customer service received! Thank you TYI.
