Dougal has been going to the grooming room since he was very young. He always comes out looking very smart and smells wonderful. We feel confident that he’s well looked after and he goes in willingly. Everyone seems to genuinely care about dogs and that’s very reassuring. Wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else.

I have been taking our 15 year old cockapoo, Winnie, to the Grooming room for 10 years now and am always delighted with the result. Very friendly and caring and would recommend without hesitation.

So happy with my pooch's cut after switching groomers - The Grooming Room did such a fantastic job, and our little shih tzu Olive looks fantastic. We'll be back again in another 6 weeks - so pleased! Thanks again!

I recently had a highly disappointing experience at this grooming salon, and I feel compelled to share my experience with others in the hope that they can avoid a similar ordeal. While I understand that accidents can happen, the deliberate withholding of information about an injury caused to my dog is an unprofessional and unforgivable behaviour. I had taken my two dogs to this groomer for the first time, both of whom have had plenty of experience with grooming in the past. Upon collecting my dogs, I was given some information by the groomer that left me quite concerned: 1. She complained that one of my dogs (the puppy) had toileted on her floor, and she suggested it was due to marking. This is a new complaint, and not our experience, or his previous groomer’s experience. 2. She claimed that one of my dogs had "showed her when he didn't like something (particularly tugs) ... but was good”. From the experience he had, see below, it’s no surprise that he was distressed from the beginning of the grooming process. 3. She expressed disagreement with my vet's recommendation not to neuter one of my dogs, which I found to be quite unprofessional. I thanked her for her feedback as this was not information any other groomer had shared previously, and I wanted to work on it with their dog trainer. Her response was “I’m always honest”. Which turned out to be a dishonest remark. One of my dogs was delayed for approximately 15 minutes past pickup time without any explanation. However, when I returned home, I discovered the reason for this delay – my dog had been injured during the grooming session. There was a noticeable trail of blood on the floor, and my older dog's paw was bleeding significantly. I had previously informed the groomer about his past traumatic experience with a groomer who had accidentally cut his tongue, a mistake she admitted to having made in the past herself. Therefore, it was particularly upsetting to see him in a similar predicament once again. In particular, one would expect an “honest” groomer to share this information with a client. This injury was not disclosed on collection. I promptly contacted the groomer to inquire about what had happened to my dog. To my shock, she casually mentioned that they had cut his nail too short – to the quick - and applied TrimEx at the beginning of his appointment but claimed he "seemed fine." What was truly disheartening was that despite all the information she had shared about my dogs and the judgment she had passed, she never once mentioned this vital detail of causing an injury to my dog upon collection. Even more distressing was the complete lack of concern, apology, or inquiry about my dog's condition when I raised the issue. Instead of showing empathy (as the vet did) she nonchalantly offered to apply more TrimEx and dismissed the incident by stating that my dog "was fine earlier," despite the trail of blood and our distressed dog. He had a restless night, but is happily on the mend. In conclusion, my experience at this dog grooming salon was nothing short of a nightmare. Not only did the groomer mishandle my dogs, but she also failed to take responsibility for the injury she caused. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of empathy is inexcusable, and I strongly advise pet owners to think twice before entrusting their beloved animals to this establishment. My dogs deserved better, and so do yours. Photo withheld due to unpleasant images of blood.

This was my puppy’s first ever groom and she LOVED IT. When I came to collect her she was happy as pie after the groomer played with her whilst waiting on me picking her up. For a first groom my puppy came out with a positive experience without being overwhelmed or stressed out. Not to mention she looked gorgeous!! Would highly recommend.
