Very poor service. Booked a collection. Missed me twice. Ended up having to take it to a drop off point on my ow. No compensation offered for wasting my time. No explanation as to why they failed to collect. If you need an urgent parcel shipped, AVOID this company.

Incredible service. I sent a package via UPS that was not without its dramas and the support from Overland Express was top drawer. Emails were answered instantaneously, phone support was readily available and the advice provided was spot-on.

Avoid using this company for shipping of valuable items. I found Overland Express (OE) online, when searching for an specialist courier to transport my watch to France for repair. I did due diligence and spoke to them on the phone before proceeding. I paid them extra to insure my package. OE used UPS, who lost my watch. UPS could only cover 5% of the item's value, in line with the terms of OE's order. Overland Express' insurer refused to honour my claim on the grounds that the watch was lost by UPS after the attempted delivery. I did everything right - from selecting and researching what I thought was an appropriate courier; insuring my package and communicating with OR and UPS throughout. The end result is that my watch is lost and Overland Express say there is nothing they can do.

Upset and disappointed. I asked so many questions about what paperwork was needed and I was never once referred to any customs website or to mark my invoice as a gift. I sent a nostalgic personal item overseas and been caught with a hefty tax bill because I insured it. I'm now not sure I can get this back from the Swedish government and overland express commented *mockingly* that "It is a good idea to be informed when sending items out of the UK". I don't think anyone intentionally hid any info from me, but they did definitely not help me in the process. For someone as established as this I'd except more. If you're a private person, AVOID.

I have been using Overland Express for all my insured instrument deliveries for several years now. There are several reasons for this but the main one is Stuart who's an absolute paradigm of everything customer service should be. He's friendly, helpful and always available if there are any problems. The pricing is also very reasonable and though touch wood we have never needed to claim on the insurance (testament to great delivery service provided by ParcelForce) I can only assume from several years of excellent service that we would be well covered there too. If you're shipping instruments then I can recommend Overland Express with full confidence and suggest you give them a try.

My item was never picked up. I was also shouted at on the phone and hung up on. I rang later in the day of the pick up day to check that my parcel was definitely still going to be picked up which is a fair query. The staff member who I spoke with was extremely rude, short, and patronising, shouting 'don't you realise we're currently in a global pandemic'. I was told that if the item wasn't picked up on the day I had booked it would be the next day. It is now the next day and my item has not been picked up so I have cancelled. I also shouldn't have to wait until the next day when I got an email guaranteeing the pick up date. I was prepared to not be able to get a guarantee of time but I did pay for and was guaranteed a date. You cannot expect someone to then wait the next day all day at home from 8am-7pm in case it gets picked up. I'm aware that working in any delivery service must be super stressful at this time especially that it is also so close to Christmas. However, we are all having a really tough time at the moment and trying to do our best. Getting shouted at on the phone in a very patronising manner is really not ok and very unprofessional, on top of the fact that my item was never picked up. My suggestion would also be that perhaps you need to review your communications prior to pick up for customers if you really do feel that 'customers never read the email correctly' which the staff member also very sharply complained to me about - perhaps there are things you need to work on, I was not in the wrong to contact Overland Express. And clearly I was not in the wrong to have a bad feeling about the pick up since it never actually got picked up. Would never use this service.

Hi All I have used Overland Express twice, and have found them excellent. Once 2/3 years ago, and again in the summer. On both occasions to send a box from the UK to Spain. Before I placed both orders I had some questions that were answered so helpfully, and accurately. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble. It felt so much more than just getting business. 2/3 years ago there were no problems at all. In the summer the courier company failed to put up my parcel, maybe due to a misunderstanding. However Stuart /Tim sorted it so that it could be picked up from my work the next day. My parcel took a day longer than expected. It was obvious when it arrived in Spain it had been held up in French Customs. Stuart and Tim reassured me saying when it would arrive. They were spot on. This was clearly not the fault of Overland Express. Although I have only used them twice, I have not used anyone else. They offer an excellent service, fantastic communication , and a brilliant price. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending them. John Oh by the way £28, for a box approx 80cm x60 x 60cm and 29 Kg superb!
