My delivery man if he delivers to me or my neighbour he leaves my front gate open as it's shared. When it's left open the wind blows it about and it gets broken. It was replaced last year and within a week the catch was broken where it was not shut. I have two big notices one on either side of.the gate . Which they seem to ignore. Any delivery person should leave the premises how they found them. I have cameras so I know who it is.
