   Extremely poor experience. My insurance company sent my car to HR Macartney & Body Repairs in East Kilbride after it was hit while parked. The car was collected from my home and driven (not towed) about 20 miles to the garage absolutely fine — it drove perfectly before the accident and actually after as I drove it home from where it was hit as advised by my insurance. After they had it for a couple of weeks, they called to say there was some general wear and tear that wasn’t related to the accident, but didn’t give much detail. When I collected the car, I barely made it home before I had to pull over — it was knocking badly, pulling severely to one side, and the steering wheel was vibrating. When I called them, one person admitted they hadn’t road-tested it and told me to bring it back. Later, someone else told my insurance that the car was “like that when they collected it” — which is completely untrue. They also took no notes or documentation about the condition of the car when they picked it up, which is very concerning. If it really had been like that, why would they have driven it 20 miles to the garage? I’m now having to fight with my insurance company to have it properly repaired, I have no courtesy car, and I’m left with a car that isn’t safe to drive. Either they’ve done a terrible job on the wheel or damaged it while transporting it. Given my experience — and after reading other similar reviews — I’d absolutely avoid this company. Apart from a bit of paintwork, nothing was handled properly and the service was shockingly poor.

   I needed some work done to my VW Tiguan at relatively short notice and the garage were able to fit me in. The work on the day was carried out quickly and well. Communication throughout the process was great and I was happy with the price too. Hadn't used them before but will use them again in future.

   Customer service terrible Took my car down for an estimate on Thursday 19th December agent came out to look at the car damage, asked me to fill out my details. He came back into reception and told me he would send me a quote the following day. No quote the following day. Called office on Monday 23rd December was told the person that was dealing with my quote was not at his desk so would leave a message to give me a call. Guess what no response. It is now 11th January 2025 and still no quote. They either do not need the work or they could not handle the colour of my car ( Soul Red Crystal ) a difficult colour to match as competent paint sprayers will tell you. So no way would I recommend this company. If I could have given a zero star I would have.

   Worst experience ever 1 star is too much! Didn't choose to use this company it was an approved repairer from my insurance company for an accident repair claim. Took over 5 weeks to repair a few damaged parts. Customer service was somewhere between awful and non existent, just totally uninterested in their customers. Then to top it off received my car back with damage to the interior which they firstly tried to claim through my insurance then just refused to fix. If you have the choice whether to use this place or not I would choose the latter, unfortunately I didn't have a choice.
