Very bad on SCS Slough team. Parking limit for Slough retail park is 3 hours. Around 20 mins were left when I entered ScS store for browsing. The staff mentioned that they will extend the parking by sending an email to the parking management so I shared my Reg no. Manager in the store confirmed at the time that it is done. But to my surprise, I got a parking ticket 2 weeks later. And had to pay hefty £100 fine. Currently the Slough store is under refurbishment. I called the employee (luckily took his card) and he said Manager is on leave and cant do anything. Never ever going to ScS store and strongly recommend people to not believe a word they say.

    * DO NOT SCROLL PAST THIS REVIEW IF THINKING ABOUT DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS STORE * After purchasing 3 different sets of sofas from scs over the last 6 years I decided to purchase of them again, little was I to know the owner ship had changed hands. From start to finish I was told 3 difference prices by 3 different people. We purchased our 3 piece sofa set while there was a clearance on there furniture so we got a reduced cost on the product in mention. Please be careful of this as they took full payment up front to then go on to tell us our furniture will still be on show on the shop floor until nearly everything was sold. So with little choice but to agree we booked a delivery date in ( which they told us was covered due to the lack of communication between the 3 sales people and myself ). We waited 9 days after purchasing our sofas for a delivery schedule as of which our sofas were still sitting on shop front for everyone to sit on, to then be told our delivery had been cancelled, by this time I had already disposed of my old sofas ready for my new ones to arrive like promised. I had little choice but to pull my work team of a job and hire a lorry to collect these sofas myself which was neither small or light. After a complaint to a gentleman called Andrew we was told the floor manager had crossed our delivery date out and pencilled in his own sales ( don’t know if this is commission based but it certainly seems this way ) Although the furniture is of decent quality the people selling it have zero customer skills. I have never experienced anything like this while purchasing anything in my life. I feel as if they take your payment to capture you and then make it up as they go along. It really is the blind leading the blind. my advice would be to collect these sofas yourself or prepare to be let down. I’ve run my own company for 22 years and the bare minimum we would have expected would be the delivery cost refunded to our account but they didn’t even offer this.Store manager very rude

Super Disappointed withcustomer service I placed an order with SCS via telephone, speaking with one of their customer representatives. During this call, I was advised that the representative would take my deposit payment and then call me back to confirm the delivery date. However, she did not provide a specific delivery date before taking my payment. After the call, I did not receive any follow-up communication regarding the delivery date. I attempted to contact SCS on the same day, 28th January, to confirm the order and inquire about the delivery schedule. Upon receiving the order confirmation, I discovered that the earliest delivery date would be 25th April, which was significantly later than expected. As a result, I contacted SCS in writing on 2nd February—just six days after placing the order—to request a cancellation. However, they responded stating that I could not cancel the order, which is a direct violation of my consumer rights. According to UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, I have the right to cancel any order within 14 days. When I requested a reason for their refusal, SCS claimed that my order was a bespoke, customized product. This claim is entirely false. At no point was my order advertised or presented as a custom or bespoke product. The product listing on their website clearly states a delivery timeline and does not indicate that it is made to order. It has come to my attention that SCS operates on a drop-shipping business model, where they take customer deposits upfront and only begin sourcing the furniture from outside the UK after securing orders. This practice contradicts fair consumer trading principles, as they effectively bind customers into unfair agreements without explicitly disclosing these terms at the time of purchase. Furthermore, SCS is falsely asserting that I signed a contract that prevents order cancellation. Super Disappointed with their customer service as a brand.

Thought I had a great experience at Slough scs? Jumped on when I walked into the store staff very friendly. Placed my order £2090.28! Was Not given a breakdown of my order only receipt given was the card payment. Got home thought about I should have got the warranty on the mechanical side of my sofa. Phoned the store to find out you can’t contact them direct you end up with a call centre! I phoned Sunday, Monday, Tuesday being told we have contacted the store you will get a call back? Never did so I emailed Steve Carson the ceo of scs. I gave my last shot on Wednesday spoke to a lady she was absolutely brilliant put me through a guy from head office, to find out my order wasn’t even put through!! But they took my money! In the meantime I worked out my bill and scs actually took extra £118.00? For no reason Which now has been taken off the warranty I wanted. I’ve had a call today from a great advisor Kiaron they are investigating the £118.00, and why my order never went through last Friday? Be warned of the Slough branch.

In store experience was good, we ordered a sofa at the beginning of May which would take an estimated 12 weeks for delivery. After 11weeks we received an email providing a delivery date which is in a week’s time and asking for balance. At this point we thought we’d ask the store if they know of anyone local to discard the old sofa and we stumbled over many bad google reviews about problems and got worried. Admittedly the Slough store never called us back (as requested by the SCS customer service), but our enquiry was not related to the purchase and review on trustpilot for overall feedback and delivery service was good. A day before the delivery we were given a time window. On the day we received a call half an hour before delivery. The team was great and efficient. And the sofa is as we ordered.

Whilst the in-store original experience was okay, the after care, delivery and manner of the manager on the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional. The sales experience does not end at the first visit and I would strongly recommend that the staff and the ‘self employed’ delivery drivers act more professional and possibly undergo training on how to speak to customers in a fair and impartial way. The most shocking of all is that the manager had told the delivery drivers to bring the sofa back to the store because I called and questioned why I was not given a courtesy call for the late delivery. If I did have a sofa to use I would have taken the manager up on this offer - but he and the drivers knew the sofa was required and that they would not even give a glance of an apology for being late. I have run out of space to speak about the delivery experience in full but I will be following this up with the store and customer care directly.
