Been running a Pokemon GO community here for a good while now and this is our regular meetup spot. Whilst the fountain isn't running (I believe due to the refurbishment of People's Palace), this place is great to do a small-medium gathering of. Just as long as you aren't interfering with public events of course!

This fountain was beautifully carved. Designed in 1887 to commemorate Queen Victoria's golden jubilee. Sadly, it was not running. There are lots of seats around the fountain, so you can take a moments rest. The fountain is accessible to people who use a wheelchair.

It was very nice architecture in the foundation which was built to showcase 4 colonies of the United Kingdom, with each side representing one of the colony. When I visited the fountain was not running, and by seeing the condition it seems that it was not running for a long time. The park is quite big and well maintained. It has a cafe and restaurant available for food and drink.

As part of a guided tour, we were brought to this location. The weather was rainy, with dark clouds overhead and mild temperatures, which lent a certain atmosphere to the experience. However, the fountain itself was not operational at the time of our visit. The fountain, crafted from terracotta, features numerous intricate and impressive details that reflect the high level of craftsmanship involved in its creation. According to the nearby signage, it is regarded as one of the finest examples of terracotta fountain design in the world.

Nice relaxing area found in transit to another place. There seems to be a museum there but it was already closed by the time we got there so the park is quiet then. Can't tell if during the day it'll be the buzz in the area.

Magnificent highly decorative five-tier fountain, it was designed to commemorate the Queen's Golden Jubilee in 1887 and a gift by Sir Henry Doulton to Glasgow. This majestic-looking fountain stands at Glasgow Green in front of the equally ornate People's Palace which houses the city's social history collection. This iconic Beauty is a MUST see if your in Glasgow

The Doulton Fountain is a large fountain that sits just outside the a the Peopleβs Palace in Glasgow Green. The fountain is reputedly the largest terracotta fountain in the world and was produced by Doulton & Co for the Glasgow Exhibition of 1888. The general theme of the fountain is glory of the British Empire. Queen Victoria stands atop the centre of the fountain to symbolise her reigns over empire. Immediately below her is water carrying maids empty water onto the lower tiers. Below them is a sailor and one soldier from each of Scotland, England and Wales, the source of her glory. On the lowest tier are four groups of figures, to represent the four a major colonies of the empire. Being South Africa, Australia, Canada and India.
