Large hilly park with lots of green areas for walking the dog. Great views of the Clyde and Dumbarton Rock and castle. Very good picnic area with play park for the kids and a good cafe. Walks along the River Clyde pathway. Features and attractions Formal gardens and arboretum: The park includes extensive spring and summer bedding displays, mixed shrubbery, and an arboretum with a variety of tree species. Recreation and play areas: Visitors can enjoy open grassland for games and picnics, a basketball court, and two distinct play areas for different age groups. Park Pavilion: The park features a pavilion that houses a cafΓ© and the Greenspace Community Ranger Service. Historic ruins: On the grounds are the ruins of St Serf's Church, the medieval parish church of Cardross. A legend suggests that some of Robert the Bruce's remains may be buried there. Wildlife: The park is a habitat for various bird species, especially during winter and migration periods. Other wildlife, such as squirrels and rabbits, can be spotted, along with a variety of wildflowers and fruit trees. The Maple Garden: This is a secure, enclosed outdoor area designed for children and adults with additional support needs. Events: The park is a regular host for community events, including the Scottish Pipe Band Championship, a gala day, and a fireworks display. A weekly parkrun also takes place there every Saturday.

Levengrove Park, which I recently had the pleasure of visiting. The grounds are exceptionally well maintained, reflecting a high standard of care and attention. The beautiful flower displays throughout the park add a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere that is truly delightful. Additionally, the spacious paths provide ample room for various visitors, including dog walkers, families, and runners, ensuring a pleasant experience for all. The parkβs location, overlooking the River Clyde, offers stunning views and contributes to its serene environment. Furthermore, the historical significance of Levengrove Park adds a layer of cultural value that enhances its appeal to visitors interested in both nature and heritage. I would also like to commend the variety of amenities available within the park. The thoughtfully designed play area provides a safe and enjoyable space for children, while the cafΓ© offers a convenient spot for refreshments. The clean and well-maintained toilet facilities further demonstrate the commitment to visitor comfort.

Most beautiful park ive been in. Vast area. In August the floral displays were outstanding (Well done West Dunbartonshire Council). Playpark area. Nice walk too along shoreline, with benches. Nice wide pathways for cycling No litter lying about.

I love this park. It was beautiful and peaceful. The grounds are always well maintained. We had a coffee in the cafe, staff were all friendly and efficient. The only downfall was that 2 of the 3 toilets were out of order due to vandalism. Which has nothing to do with the staff and all to do with who is visiting.

Lovely park. Flower garden beautifully cared for. Fun free rides on rickshaw type thing, with very kind volunteers. Views across the Clyde and to Dumbarton Rock and castle, beautiful trees. Cafe. Well worth a visit.

A really nice park, well maintained by the local authority. Great for dog walks, a fantastic play area for young kids and a cafe that serves a good range of drinks and snacks. Could do with some public water taps to give the dogs a drink.

A hidden gem by Google, if you search Levengrove Park on Google map, it will jump to Kelvingrove park. Hidden literally form most Google user. A well maintained park just seat opposite sides of the rock. A exquisite park but not at all small. There is car park beside the bridge Street. After walking in the park you can also take the opportunity in walking to the town center along the river shore.

There is no car park except for 4 disabled spaces beside the pavilion in the park itself. You need to park on Clydeshore Road or Woodyard Road and they can get quite busy if the sun is out. There is a small play park but it can get really busy. There is a pavillion where you can buy food and drink. It's also where the toilets are located. There is only 2 unisex toilets and 1 parent and child/disabled toilet so there can be long queues to use them. The toilets close at 3 o'clock but I don't know if it's winter time and open later in summer. There is a few picnic tables around the park. There is a tarmac walk round the park and it takes you to the water front and there is a lot of benches so you can sit and relax and watch the water go by. You also have wonderful views of Dumbarton Castle. There is plenty of grassy areas where you can play football, tennis, or let your dog run about.

Beautiful open park nestling between the rivers Clyde and Leven, with an interesting historic well and 12th century church ruins. There is a lovely clyde estuary promenade with great views of Dumbarton Rock. Well worth a visit.
