Really difficult to make contact with.. helpful friendly staff.. but never seem to answer phone.. tried for three weeks.. even spoke to Head Office. ( who told me they would ask this branch to contact me.. ( nothing). Eventually had to visit in person.. They call you when policy's need renewal.. but if you have a problem.. really difficult to do/sort out.
So my partner was told the lowest price he could get insurance for was 7k and a majority of insurers have declined given his driving history and details. It turns out on money supermarket there are multiple insurers willing to provide insurance ranging from £1800 upwards. I do question whether A Plan are acting in the best interest of their clients. Their quotes seem to be quadruple and ridiculous. They are supposed to be insurance brokers that test the market. This isn’t a one off for our family. We were being quoted ridiculous landlord insurance figures too! One for 8k which we got for £1500 somewhere else. Absolutely ridiculous if you ask me!

Aweful customer service. Asked for a call back but they never did so I had to call them. Then they said they would call back with a quote but didn't call back. When I called them 3 days later they gave me a redicolous quote. Over £200 more that what I found on the price comparison sites.
3 car policies with them for last 5 years, introduced a new customer and when I want a simple change a £30 admin fee.....guess I will be looking elsewhere.
Very very helpful staff today... as they were last year.. much better to visit the office.. as so many questions asked & so much garbage read out ( ie about policy). ( probably the law !!). Two weeks ago i had a postale reminder about renewing a policy,, followed by a text/ voice mail.. ( phoned them to find out policy had another 3 weeks to run.. told them i was away in France for a week... but would come in when i returned..). Whilst in France i had 4 texts/ 4 phone calls/ 4 recorded messages !!!! ? all asking me to contact them re- policy... Found it a pain !!
