    Absolutely fantastic service and you actually get to speak to a human. I had a bad accident in June and my claim was sorted out in less than two weeks and the money was in my account. I've just called to renew and the lovely guy I spoke to looked at my medical screening and said because the injury was more than 4 months ago he would redo the quote and he saved me Β£12, doesn't sound much but in this day and age anything saved is a bonus. Would highly recommend.

    Anyone who has a long term illness knows how much of a minefield it can be ensuring that you have disclosed all relevant information to your potential travel insurers but it’s just as scary when things change mid term. So when I developed angina some months ago I contacted Holidayrisk to update them expecting a marathon of hoops to jump through given that I was still awaiting several investigative procedures. Nothing of the sort happened. They listened, checked with their underwriters and asked me to keep them informed of the results as I had them. I have done that and each time I have been dealt with in the same quiet professional manner. Big shout out to Shaun who has been the contact on each occasion exemplifying how customer service should be, thank you Shaun. Based on this quality of service I have no hesitation recommending Holidayrisk.

    This was the easiest company to book through. I heard their ad on Lyca radio while on my way to work. Travelled to spain and had to get insurance through Holidayrisk. Simple online booking process and staff were lovely over the phone. Would highly recommend!

    So slow when claiming. They seriously quote upto 10-15 *working* days after you send a claim form for an answer. Called after 10 and they couldn't tell me a thing, they used up literally the whole of their quoted 15 days before dealing with a very simple claim. What do they need so long for? I'd avoid this set of jokers at all costs.

    I wholeheartedly endorse the adverse comments . I am trying to pursue a claim for a cancelled flight . Fortunately, no big deal as , having been lucky enough to speak to someone after almost thirty minutes β€œ holding the line β€œ , I completed an online claim form , heard nothing , phoned again , after many minutes of waiting , spoke to someone else, who promisdva further form , nothing , wrote to the β€œclaims manager β€œ 5/7 , no reply As I said , this is not desperate, but what if it was ? Suppose I could not β€œhold over” a couple of hundred quid ,( and there have been plenty of times in my life when I could not) , suppose I was in a French hospital ? I am glad I have had this experience of such a company , as it has been an invaluable lesson . You do not save money by insuring with a company like this , you simply throw it away . Beware , buy your insurance from a reputable firm . PD .

    I decided to use Holiday Risk ( also a trading name of Globeshield International and Travel Facility Claims) as they covered over 50s and specifically because they had a user-friendly website. All went well completing their requirements on their website. Unfortunately, my flight from France was cancelled when I was due back from holiday and so began a nightmare from this company(ies) and their trading names. It took many emails and telephone calls over 2 months for an unsatisfactory response for what should have been a simple claim for a 24 hour plus cancelled flight claim. Shabby customer service.
