   Dom is the best tattoo artist. His portraits are so accurate and he puts so much detail into every one he does. My hubby has had two and I have had one done by him. Absolutely wonderful tattoos As for the comment about unhygienic, he is obsessive about cleanliness and everything is extremely hygienic!

   I’ve had several tattoos done at various studios and can honestly say that Pearl Ink is hands down the worst tattoo experience I’ve ever had. I went to the studio with two friends to get tattoos. One of my friends went in before me and straight away, the tattooist’s behaviour was off. He told my friend not to look at him or talk to him while he was working, and when she tried to engage in polite conversation, he completely ignored her. Then, in the middle of her getting her tattoo done, a gentleman entered the premises with his dog, which is very unhygienic. In hindsight, I really should have left then. The gentleman and the tattooist talked to discuss getting a tattoo of his touched up. The tattooist asked the gentleman to pull down his trousers so that he could have a look at it. The gentleman asked if he wanted him to do that because there were 3 female customers on the premises, but the tattooist told him to do it anyway. Having a grown man pull his trousers down while I’m sat next to him isn’t usually what I’d expect when I go anywhere in public, even a tattooists, because most people know that’s highly inappropriate behaviour. The gentleman left a short time later and then it was my turn to get tattooed. I go into the other room, he puts the stencil on and starts the tattoo. I, making polite conversation, asked if he was German, based on some of the artwork he had around the studio. He told me that his family is German, and I said that’s nice, I honeymooned in Germany, it’s a nice country. That’s when things really went downhill. Without prompting, the tattooist began to ramble. A short summary of the awful things he said includes the following: - German women are better than British women because they ‘respect their men’. - British women are no good because they ‘don’t respect their men’. - British women make false accusations of rape that ruin good men’s lives. - Most British women lie about being sexually assaulted. - Those women who ARE telling the truth are usually raped by non-white people. He is telling me all of this while he has a needle in my arm. I didn’t feel safe and when the first opportunity arose where I could leave, I took it. I told him that I wanted to stop and didn’t want him to continue. He took offence to this and said ‘if you don’t want to hear my opinions, don’t ask for him’. I told him I didn’t ask him anything, he told me his disgusting opinions unsolicited. I walked out into the main studio where my friends were waiting. They could see that I was visibly upset and had overheard some of what had been said and asked if I was alright. When I told them that I wanted to leave because he had been saying weird, horrible things to me, the tattooist proceeded to shout, curse and swear at me in front of my friends. I shouted back at him because I’m not going to bullied by anyone, especially a grown man who is racist and misogynistic. In the days since this happened, I’ve been informed that later that same day, another woman came in to get tattooed and while he was tattooing her, he told her that he assaulted women. In fact, I’ve been told several stories, all involving women, who had faced similarly disturbing and disgusting behaviour from this tattooist. Furthermore, I learned that the flash sheet that I got my tattoo from was plagiarised from another studio, and this isn’t the first time that has happened either. So, to summarise, the tattooist at Pearl Ink is unhygienic, unprofessional and unhinged. Avoid at all costs.

   Really good prices for the level of quality that goes into Dom’s work. Laid back, chilled out environment. Would highly recommend to anyone thinking about getting a piece done!

   Love my tattoos and love the experience! My friend and I called the shop around 2h before the closing and asked to get some small tattoos that won't take long. We weren't really hoping to get any luck as we called many places and it was getting quite late but we still thought to ask for a quick walk in session. We later received a positive reply and came in to the shop where we were warmly greeted by Dom. Even though he was understandingly tired after a finishing a long session with a difficult piece, Dom still took his time to finish all of our tattoos, even going as far as refreshing my old tattoo on a finger to match a new one. He didn't rush to finish everything quicker or charged us over the top price which got us very surprised and we were definitely glad to find his tattoo shop. I'm coming back for some more small tattoos while planning on a big piece for my chest and neck. What I also really liked is that Dom is an artist who is capable of adapting his own style and adjusting details to individualise the tattoo which is extremely helpful for my chest & neck tattoo project. We had wonderful chat and great experience overall and I can 100% recommend Dom as a professional tattoo artist

   I went to see Dominic to see if he could design a cover tattoo for me and found Dominic to be very understanding in what I wanted....and boy did he produce the goods, Fantastic job, Fantastic tattoo, great prices and a cracking guy... Thanks Dominic I will be back.
