Warning: this restaurant is NOT Casa Cruz. This restaurant is using deceptive practices!!! I made a booking a few weeks ago to celebrate my daughter's graduation, after checking out the menu online. The day before our dinner, I was asked to confirm the reservation. Strangely, the email only showed the address, not the name of the restaurant. When we arrived the following evening, we asked if this was Casa Cruz and were told they had taken over the restaurant, but there's one in New York (we're in London). As it was too late to find another place, we decided to keep the reservation. When we inquired what type of cuisine they were serving, we received different answers from different staff members. The restaurant also had the A/C on full blast in late November, so we kept our coats on. The worst part was when the food arrived and my daughter received 8 small raviolis for what was described as "pasta with lobster" for close to £30. My fish arrived with no sides, not even a single vegetable. The staff were clearly embarrassed and when we told them this is not what we expected. The restaurant and Seven Rooms (the booking site) should have informed us that this is a different restaurant. It was a disappointing experience for what was supposed to be a celebration.

We had a nice dinner last night and it was a fantastic experience. The food was fresh and full of flavor, with each dish perfectly prepared. The wine was excellent, pairing beautifully with the meal. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff was knowledgeable and attentive. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food and a pleasant dining experience!

I don’t know why on earth you get low star reviews. I have been watching everyone work so hard at Casa Cruz. From the moment we arrived until the end. Service was exceptional. Food was exceptional. We went for the Eiffel Tower. Tremendous! Thank you chef Jais and team. And to Casa Cruz that makes you feel special and well looked after. I understand it can be frustrating if you’re dining and some people feel “rushed” but dinner is dinner. You have a slot of 2 hours and you enjoy that. There are other people trying to wait and also enjoy their time. And as for the service, servers will come when they think it’s time. Just enjoy the food, the wine, the atmosphere. Will absolutely come back! Thanks again for a fantastic evening!

The atmosphere and service was amazing. The setting, lighting and music were spectacular. The food however was just okay. The starters were good but the mains were a little disappointing as was the lemon tart especially given the price.

Casa Cruz: Notting Hill’s Chic Dining Gem with a temporary Parisian Twist Casa Cruz in Notting Hill is undeniably one of London’s trendiest spots, celebrated not only for its uniquely intimate vibe but also for its draw of an international, often star-studded clientele. Nestled amid the leafy streets of Notting Hill, this refined yet cozy neighborhood gem offers a two-story dining experience with a charming rooftop terrace. The terrace, open until 10 PM, provides an inviting, outdoorsy feel—a rare find that makes Casa Cruz stand out as a "home-away-from-home" for London locals and visitors alike. Ambiance and Design Spread over two beautifully designed, cozy floors, Casa Cruz impresses with its interior elegance. The restaurant’s décor blends classic and modern elements, offering an intimate, warm setting that enhances the dining experience. With soft lighting and thoughtful design, it’s easy to understand why it’s a longtime favorite for those in the spotlight and beyond. The rooftop terrace, though compact, adds a lovely touch, especially for those who appreciate a relaxed atmosphere outdoors. Special Collaboration with Jaïs In a recent twist, Casa Cruz has teamed up with Paris’s acclaimed restaurant, Jaïs, led by Chef Jaïs Mimoun, to bring a taste of Parisian sophistication to London. Running until December 20th, this collaboration transforms Casa Cruz into a Parisian-inspired brasserie. The menu reflects Chef Mimoun’s modern French sensibility, accented with international influences and served alongside a well-curated selection of predominantly French wines. The temporary menu is extensive and diverse, offering both classic à la carte options and daily specials. Diners can enjoy a balanced mix of fish, pasta, and meat options—the latter being Casa Cruz’s original specialty. Dining Experience and Food Quality The food quality at Casa Cruz lives up to its reputation. Despite being packed with diners and operating from a compact kitchen, the restaurant managed to deliver a seamless dining experience without noticeable delays. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, with flavors that were well-balanced from starters to dessert. The fish was delicate and fresh, the pasta dishes flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the meats—true to Casa Cruz’s reputation—were the stars of the menu. The attention to detail in each course highlighted the skill and passion in the kitchen, making for an exceptionally satisfying dining experience. Service and Atmosphere Casa Cruz prides itself on delivering top-notch service. The staff were not only professional but also attentive and warm, despite the high energy and full house. This attention to detail in service contributed significantly to the overall enjoyment of the evening, balancing the bustling atmosphere with a reassuringly refined touch. While Casa Cruz is always popular, weeknight visits are generally recommended for a more relaxed experience, as weekends can get quite lively. Overall Recommendation Casa Cruz offers an elevated dining experience that is both chic and intimate, a perfect mix for those seeking a stylish night out in Notting Hill. With its star-powered crowd, exceptional food, and warm service, it’s easy to see why Casa Cruz remains one of London’s most beloved dining spots. The collaboration with Chef Jaïs from Paris only enhances its appeal, bringing an exciting French twist that is worth experiencing before it concludes in December. Tip: Weekday visits are ideal if you prefer a more relaxed ambiance; weekend evenings can be bustling.

Food was fine. Atmosphere was a bit dead (went at 8pm on a Saturday night, maybe it was a bit early, but I would have expected more fun from a December evening so close to the holidays). Wine list wasn't super inspiring (like, they had Whispering Angel as their rosé). We sat down, the host informed us we had 2.5 hours at our table. I don't love when restaurants begin the interaction this way (tacky) but fine, that's a long time to eat dinner. After 2 hours, we had just ordered another bottle of wine and were about to order dessert when the manager informed us that the next table had arrived and we would need to leave. The bar is tiny and half the restaurant was booked for a birthday party, so there wasn't really a place for him to put us. It was just awkward. Then, they sent over the next party to hover awkwardly near our table while we were wrapping up. It was just super bizarre. The only time I've ever experienced this was in a random diner in NY in 2012. I know it's London so we have to discount the service level by at least 50%, but it was just embarrassing. Hopefully they get it together for the NY location.

The interiors were stunning, lots of attention to detail and you could say an « instagramable » location. We sat in the beautiful terrace upstairs. Although everything tasted good, it was just too pricey for the portion. I ordered the Sole and got 4 thin slices. I understand that the market is though and all the prices went up but I really could not justify this one.

We went for a celebration and the restaurant did not disappoint. The meat was cooked to perfection and the sides we chose were great. We went for the domino potatoes and corn. The service was good as there were not a lot of people to attend. Would definitely be back!

Had the most amazing dinner last Sunday!! The food was just superb - quality ingredients, such a unique and interesting menu, with lots to pick from. Also loved that they had so many halal options! The blackened chicken and humita spiced corn were our favs! Desserts were fab too, especially the lemon Madeleines. Above all, the service of the waiters and manager was fantastic, they really went up and above to make our evening comfortable - they did everything right, from talking us through the menu, making sure we were seated comfortably by the fire, took pictures for us and most of all, they were so friendly! We were there from 7pm till closing, we were literally the last to leave, not once did they rush us, or even ask for payment! They were so polite and such a cheerful team! Definitely recommend this place, the service and the food!
