I had an abscess on my thumb. Arrived at the hospital with loads of reading matter expecting a long wait but was seen immediately and had prompt efficient treatment by nurse Vicky. Thumbnail removed under local anaesthetic, dressing, antibiotics and home all within an hour. Thank you and well done.

Was told by my doctors to attend and get an xray on an injury that was previously seen at minor injuries few days before (which on that day I was told to consult a doctor if pain gets worse) online says last xrays are 16:15 yet i arrived at 16:02 and was refused entry. Tried every door i could and no own would let me in. Opening hours are stupid and need reviewing, doors also shouldn't be closed to public before actual closing times.

I went to hospital due to getting one cleaner in my eye and was seen by Mary. She was brilliant and was empathetic even though I left it 2 days to see anyone. My whole experience was 100% thanks you both for helping me. Natasha

My sister went to this hospital on the 14th July after an accident at work. She was driven to Trowbridge by a work colleague. Was seen by male nurse who told her she had a badly sprained wrist, told to go home, put ice on it and take paracetomol. Wasn't getting any better so, today, 3rd September, she had an xray at her local surgery and was told she has two small BROKEN bones and her wrist and needed to be put in plaster. She was told to go back to Trowbridge . On arrival she was seen by another nurse who asked why was she there, explained she had been sent by radiologist to have wrist plastered, was told Very, very rudely that she shouldn't have gone there because they don't do plastering. Was told to go home and wait for a letter which would tell her to go to either BRISTOL or BATH hospital. She now has to wait for another period of time before she can get her wrist sorted. This is a disgusting way to treat patients, especially after attending this hospital TWICE, and NOT getting the correct treatment required. My sister would have probably been better off travelling to Salisbury hospital in the first instance.

Came in with a blown up face, with no looking at me initial consultation told me to find a dentist, although none locally. I asked to be looked at as nurse was trying to send me away with no checks. I now have a face like a balloon and having to call ambulance because the particular person who saw me didn't want to do her job.

Great staff who work hard and get the job done! It's a shame that, like all small local hospitals, there isn't always everything available so you end up having to transfer to RUH. Can't fault the staff or the care you receive here at all, 2 of my daughters were born here the maternity ward is lovely and peaceful a real nice place compared to bigger, busier hospitals

My son had to go In today after getting a very deep splinter right under the bed of his nail 2/3rd of the nail length in depth, the waiting times were really reasonable, all staff were very friendly and efficient and the care by the nurse on duty for my son was absolutely exemplary, he was very scared to have to go to see a doctor/nurse, no matter how minor the injury may seem to some and he was treated with such kindness and respect, extremely grateful to have access to such good care locally.
