Absolutely awful. Me and my mom went to visit my uncle and was told he was in cherry ward went there and asked for him and they brought us someone else. This crazy person was saying he was Ian Jacobs but he definitely wasn’t my uncle, I’m autistic and in a wheelchair and he tried to touch us. I was absolutely terrified. Then they gaslit us saying this is (my uncles first name) and we were like we are looking for (my uncles full name) and they said we don’t have anyone like that. The crazy person keeps saying “I am (my uncles full name)” It was absolutely ridiculous. No protection at all. We literally asked before hand where my uncle was yet they then claimed he isn’t on that ward. So where exactly is he? They don’t even seem to know?? Never going anywhere near there again!!

They have left one of there patients in their own Urine they have also left their patient in her own period blood the staff have left a disabled girl with no pillows for her wheelchair to cause her sores!! Not only that giving medication that isn't supposed to be given to them The male staff are now are showering vulnerable women. The staff are absolute disgusting to the patients not only that they are using disgusting manners such as winking these are vulnerable women who are here to be helped and this place really is a shambles and this is neglect turning peoples loved ones away because they've messed up appointments absolutely disgusting.

I have a joke for you. What do you get when you cross a psychiatric ward with no CCTV cameras installed and underpaid, overworked staff? Abuse of power and abused patients. Hope you enjoyed this joke of a mental health care system.

Was here for a good 3 months from December 31 - March 22. Was a very nerve-wracking experience at first but the staff are too class and really compassionate. I got constant weekly reviews and talks with nurses every day and the whole experience made me better in myself and made my have a change of heart of what I want to do in life. The only recommendation I would have is less focus on meds and more focus on therapy. Apart from that though, all staff were supportive and made me feel right at home. Lime- you were great.

In the last year I have been having (mostly) phone consultations with Dr Adrian Hayes for psychodynamic psychotherapy and have found it invaluable. I was a recluse for 15 years but have recently been to 3 face - face meetings and started going out again generally. Although sceptical at first, I have benefited enormously. Unfortunately there’s a 12 month limit on our contact and I worry about follow-on treatment and the risk of regression. M.Burke

In dire need of funding. Stayed as an inpatient. Nurse and doctors were solid and organized and responsive. But the HCAs were mostly disinterested and the amenities were as standard as they come, with unfortunately most lights being out, tvs not working for weeks on end, and terrible food. I pity patients in the winter given the terribly thin blankets and absence of any ventilation/heating to the rooms themselves. On the other hand the OT staff and services were great. Super friendly, super proactive. But unfortunately severely limited in amount - like two hours twice a week or the gym just an hour a day. It was helpful to recovery to have access to their services, and felt most supported by them (as therapy and social work were totally non-existent). But while the facilities were clean, everything else is clearly being stretched.

Fantastic Hospital comprised of various buildings. Easy to find as it's opposite a large 24 hour Tesco Store.
