Maltby Market is amazing. Lovely place for a Saturday afternoon! But I was not expecting to find such a great steak! You should definitely try Beefsteaks... the chips were delicious too! Furthermore the staff is extremely welcoming and nice, Antonio was absolutely stunning!
The best steak and chips in London! The steak is always cooked to perfection, and the triple-cooked chips are to die for - not to mention the incredible sauces, which are freshly made (chimichurri is my favourite)! Best weekend meal ever.
The best food stall in London! Absolutely delicious food every time (and I say this after visiting several dozen times). The steak is always perfectly cooked, the fries are crispy, and the portions are generous. Definitely with the trip to Maltby Street Market for. Alex and Tony are both super friendly and make each visit a pleasure.
Been meaning to go here for a while and it didn’t disappoint. I got the steak Sandwich and it was practically perfect - Bavette steak is a little bit more chewy, but it was still soft and easily separated with each bite. Accompanied with a beautiful Chimichurri sauce that still allowed the flavour of the steak to come through. And the bread (lightly charred on the grill) was perfect also - unlike some baguettes that are hard and doughy, this baguette was just the right balance of crunchy, soft and airy. All the components work perfectly, finished with a bit of caramelised onion for a bit of sweetness. I loved it I loved it I loved it. Simple but well constructed sandwich.
Top notch steak sandwich, *delicious* sauces (highly recommend the chimichurri and homemade ketchup), phenomenal chips, all freshly made. Can tell they prioritise high-quality ingredients and really great cuts of meat, makes such a difference compared to other street-food steak sandwiches I’ve had. Alex and his team are also super friendly to boot. 10/10 would eat again.

I had the steak and chips and my boyfriend had the steak baguette. We both really enjoyed them, the steak was lovely (i am quite picky with steak too)!

Beautifully cooked flank/hanger steak over green egg with moorish skin-on fries and deeply flavoured rich bearnaise sauce, a meal fit for for a king. Highly recommended.
