   Went in for breakfast, nice warm welcome from staff. Good choice of breakfast items and paninis. We ordered the nibbles and classic breakfasts and they didn't disappoint. Excellent quality and all cooked beautifully, really tasty. We loved the interior with the butchers counter and deli. Bought some items from the butcher who was so friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely return if in the area and would recommend.

   Have been meaning to try this place for ages now as I've popped into the shop from time to time. The menu has always looked incredible. Finally managed it! And wow - the food was just fabulous. Steak Tartare / carpaccio...followed by a 1.4kg fore rib steak (I shared, no-one panic!) It's a lovely little spot, and sat in front of the butcher's display cabinet gives a little special feeling about the place. Not so much the cosy basque-restaurant thing you might sometimes be looking for, but still very nice and different to most places. Service was exceptional from some very attentive and engaged staff who helped explain the different meats we could see and then choose from. Fun and lively chat and excellent service all round really. Definitely going back. And the butcher's counter is calling me back to cook at home too!

   Superb experience with outstanding product quality, very genuine passionate staff and a funny, hipstery ambiance with the butchering and cheese nearby. Their cheese selection is also of very high quality. I highly recommend and will come back, both for dining and for purchasing for home.

   We stumbled across this Italian gem whilst looking for a bite to eat ahead of the Varsity Hockey match at the Olympic Hockey arena. We were warmly greeted by owner Matteo, and we immediately felt comfortable. We had cheese burgers and chips, which were delicious as you would expect from a master butcher. I had a pint of the on tap IPA, which was super refreshing. Great shop, with onsite butcher, deli, wine, and beer for sale. Wish we lived closer. The locals are spoilt with this exceptional establishment right on their doorsteps.

   Booked for a quiet 60th birthday dinner with my family based on a previous visit to buy provisions. Matteo was a great host and provided some great wines to go with the superbly prepared aged British T-Bone, Fillet and Sirloin steaks. Quite simply we had some of the best steaks we have eaten anywhere in the world. Thoroughly recommend a visit to Matteo’s place for a meal, you will not be disappointed. J

   Excellent butcher-to-table food. Unpretentious and delicious. We had the beef tartar, sweetbreads, ribeye steak and the famous burger with a juicy bottle of red wine. Kind service and solid value for money. Totally recommended.

   Probably one of the best burgers I have had in the UK. The meat was really juicy and tender with a fresh Smokey taste from the grill. The brioche was super soft and the cheese had a really nice flavour not overpowering the meat. The guys in there are really friendly and you have a good selection of drinks. The hard part is deciding between the different burgers, the steaks and full English they have on offer.
