One of the best Indian restaurants in London with Michelin star. You can get a launch menu for 32£ but expect to pay about 80£ per person with drink and desert. Which is still reasonable amount for London Michelin star restaurant. Of course, you can do 62£ launch menu for 2 drinking tap water but this is not the point. Reservation recommended via their web page (no extra fee required!). Try it, you will not regret it.

Dining at Amaya in London was a captivating experience that beautifully showcased the elegance and depth of modern Indian cuisine. The Amaya Favourites Menu delivered a culinary journey where every dish felt thoughtfully curated, balancing refined technique with bold, authentic flavors. From the first sip, the Arctic Mojito impressed with its refreshing coolness, blending mint and citrus in a way that instantly awakened the palate. Its natural sweetness and herbal notes paired beautifully with the delicate bubbles of the Wild Idol Sparkling Rosé (England, 2023), whose subtle fruitiness and clean finish added a celebratory tone to the evening. The starters set the tone for artistry and precision: vibrant salads and intricately plated small bites layered freshness, spice, and contrasting textures. The grilled selections — smoky, tender, and kissed with char — exemplified the skill of Amaya’s open kitchen. Each piece felt thoughtfully seasoned, highlighting the beauty of spice without overpowering the ingredients. The main courses continued the momentum with deeply satisfying richness. The kebabs offered warmth and complexity, while the bread and sides added comforting balance — crisp, aromatic potatoes and soft roti meant to cradle each bite. The biryani, fragrant and beautifully layered, was the kind of dish that brings out the soul of Indian cuisine: rice perfumed with saffron and perfectly cooked meat or vegetables, a harmony of textures and aromas. Dessert was a delightful surprise — playful in presentation yet elegant in flavor, ending the meal on a note of sweetness that lingered like a fond memory. Every aspect of the experience reflected Amaya’s Michelin-level attention to detail — from the plating and ingredients to the attentive service and calm dining atmosphere. It is a restaurant that approaches Indian cuisine with respect, creativity, and confidence, transforming traditional flavors into something truly exceptional. I left with a deep appreciation for the craft behind every dish and a strong desire to return.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amaya is such a great spot! Not your typical Indian restaurant, which makes it feel like a bit of an experience. The menu does need a little thought as it’s best to share and try a few different things, but the food is seriously good. The venue itself is gorgeous with a really lively atmosphere. It’s not cheap, but totally worth it for the quality and setting. Perfect for a special night out.

The food, cocktails and wine were exceptional. An excellently curated menu with interesting choices. Of note, the restaurant is tapas-style with items coming out “when ready”, which can make parts of the meal feel disjointed. We also received our chutney (a paid add-on) near the end of our meal, which was disappointing as we weren’t able to enjoy it with much. Overall a great experience, but was left wanting in some regards considering the high expectations and price point.

Super tasty and well presented Indian with a variety of vegan choices. I had a reservation and was looked after quickly. Easily asked about vegan options and was given good suggestions so took advice on what to order. Try the aubergine tikka - I’m not a fan of aubergine but this was delicious! Busy restaurant. Worth a visit. Toilets downstairs. Probably best to book.

Great Indian restaurant, one of the best in London, highly recommended I will come back! For my personal taste and experience second rank after Trishna, but way better than Gymkhana. The chicken that I took was properly cooked without overcooking. A tasty marinade and super rich flavour. I also took a wonderful seafood with a particular chutney, the balance between flavors was spectacular. My girlfriend took a hand made paneer that was simply amazing. Our waiters were really kind and welcoming, but we could here some noise from the grill and that's why I didn't give full 5 stars. The wines we took were another incredible choice.

Great food and service at Amaya in Mayfair. We booked on a Tuesday evening for dinner and the dining room was full. The location was slightly difficult to find (situated down an alley just past Pantechnicon). Service was great as the evening progressed but felt awkward initially (something to do with drinks and getting food menus which I won’t bore you with). Food was delicious with interesting flavour combinations and a modern twist on Indian food executed well. Stand out items for me were the seafood platter (a cooked scallop, oyster and prawn) and the chaat in a tart.

Have visited here twice. Last visit was on the weekend. Cannot fault the service or food. Always flavourful, and due to seasonal menu it’s always exciting to try something new. We were a full vegetarian crowd and a vegan. They happily catered and altered dishes to meet our requirements.

Very nice experience and very tasty food, everything we ordered is in the photos, except for the Basil chicken chops. Everything we ordered is recommended. Also, some of us ordered prawns from the starter but they are not my style. However, who tried it says it is good. The gulab Jamon was good too.

Best Indian restaurant in London?? Across 9 dishes the texture of every protein, carb, grain was cooked to perfection. The flavours were incredibly warming and yet they kept you guessing at each turn. We ordered the Scallops, lamp chops, prawns, duck, baby potatos, mustard spinach, lamb Rogan Josh, Kerala prawn, chicken biryani and garlic naan. While the scallops could have relied less on the incredible sauce, the potatoes were a little over salted and the chicken biryani a tad plainer than we've tasted, the remaining dishes were a HUGE sensation for the pallette. The lamb chops, prawns and duck starters were standout and should not be missed. The Kerala prawn was the better of the two curries and the spinach was deliciously pungent and provided a great contrast. Don't expect too much from the somewhat inexperienced service (no timely welcome, delays in taking orders, serving drinks and clearing dishes), let the food do the talking and this is a clear 5 star rating. Edit: Also ordered the pomegranate and passionatefruit granita (crushed ice with sugar and flavouring) for desert and was served an Indian donut as a birthday treat. Both tasty and wrapped up our meal well. They also have a gorgeous private room downstairs for larger groups.
