Cannot fault this surgery or the linked pharmacies! Always receive a quick call back or appointment for me and my girls, and its so easy to arrange repeat prescriptions or to request a medication you need! Only issue is I live in Magor and don't drive, yet the majority of the time I still need to go to caldicot for appointments even if it's in the morning and Magor is open :-/ can't fault any of the receptionist, nurses or doctors though :-)

Best doctors surgery! Been with them for 10 years now and I can’t fault them, always so prompt. Only one issue I had with a locum. But other than that amazing. Very happy and lucky to have such a good doctors.

I visted Magor surgery this morning 28/07 with an ongoing problem and was met by the receptionist i had seen 2weeks earlier. I dont know her name only that she mentioned she lived at Glan Lyn. I'd like to let you know what a lovely lady and so welcoming on both occasions and nothing was too much trouble for her when I asked if the nurse could just check a water sample. Another lady (receptionist) from Grayhill phoned me about about 5ish that evening and she was also lovely on the telephone. Thank you so much to them both. Jane

Currently up to 30 hours, waiting for a call back. No idea if I am going to be paid as I have no Sick Note. Do not expect this experience to be any better than previous ones: Legs go numb back starts hurting and I can't walk any further... I have mailed you exercises for your back, take paracetamol and walk through the pain. You have a chest infection. Do you smoke? Yes Go home and get better on your own. Can I have some cream for my psoriasis, I normally do not treat it but it has flared up and is causing me a lot of discomfort. Here try this antibacterial cream :/ Never able to get appointment, never able to see a Doctor. If they are paid for the number of patients they have on their books, then they are paid a load of money for doing nothing.

We had a great experience with Grayhill this week when our toddler was unwell. 15 minutes after completing the Klinik form the receptionist called us and asked us to bring her in to see the GP. Dr Owen called us into our appointment early, diagnosed quickly and we left minutes later with a prescription. Can’t praise the service enough.

Since setting up their online Klinik appointments earlier this year we've found the service to be so much better. The system of triaging appointment requests means urgent/important requests get a response very quickly while others less urgent/more routine can wait a few days. As ever, the doctors and other staff at the surgery are very good while working under increasing pressure from more and more local new builds creating more and more demands for medical services.

The staff do a great job considering the obvious pressures of being underfunded and expected to see so many patients. Always had a good timely response to my ailments. Be kind to them!

Everytime we arrive for our booked appointment, there is only 1 receptionist booking/helping in patients woth a queue outside the door. To add to this every booked appointment is over 30 minutes late!!! Very disappointing, if I were to be late, I would not be seen!! No communication on delays!! Nothing....

Disgusted is all I can say about the front line staff at this practice. Rude, unhelpful are two other things I can say. I have rarely had a reason to call this practice during my 20+ years as a patient there, but last January 2021 my partner was reeling around on the floor in agony (due to kidney stones as we later found out) and my first call was to this practice. This call which went on for some 15-20 mins achieved absolutely nothing and all the lady on the end of the phone seemed far more concerned that my address would be outside their catchment area! I had been a patient there for over 20 years and at least 4 of those years I was at the same address. The call achieved nothing other than to convince me the front line staff are utterly useless. I actually attended this practice in late 2021 in order to make an appointment but they stopped me at the door and would not allow me in even though I had a face mask and refused to make an appointment with me and instead told me I had to call using the phone!!! How insane is that, I’m a registered patient standing 10 feet away from the front desk staff and they refuse to make an appointment and insist I go home and call instead. We all know what would have happened then, I would have been trying to get through to someone for a week or longer. Regarding my partner I had to call an ambulance and she had to be revived in the ambulance twice, so these useless idiots should be very thankful she didn’t die, because if she had not only would this practice been plastered all over the newspapers and blogs, they also would have been on the receiving end of a massive lawsuit.
