   Have been trying to get an urgent appointment for a referral to the Neurologist on recommendation by A&E for over 2 months with no success. Reception advised me it is not policy to provide an ‘emergency’ appointment for a referral, despite explaining my symptoms are aggressive tics and that there is a concern of either Tourette Syndrome or a brain tumour. I requested to speak to the practice manager and was abruptly told that I could not. The care provided by this practice is far below the level I would consider even remotely appropriate. It should not be so difficult to obtain some help when it is so genuinely needed. I hope the practice manager reads this and makes contact before I take the next steps and escalate this to the commissioner, ICB and the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman.

   I had an appointment with the surgery's pharmacist, who thoroughly explained every detail of my medication, giving me an excellent experience and alleviating my concerns about side effects. An added bonus to the Medical centre.

   Receptionists are rude. No acknowledgement of people waiting, just continue to look at the computer. If they are going to be on the front desk, they should be dealing with those who walk in. Drs are good, if you can manage to get past the receptionists.

   I have been impressed by the service I have received recently from Cheddar Medical Centre. I was able to easily access an urgent on the day appointment after getting through quickly on the phone when I called first thing in the morning. I saw Dr Brimecombe who was kind and knowledgeable. Thank you to all the staff keeping the surgery running.
