I was asked to leave feedback, but there was nowhere on the link to leave it. I had a recent visit with Dr Sizer, who was lovely, kind and very helpful and informative. Prior to that, I contacted the surgery to arrange an urgent blood test, as advised by my optician, as I had a substantial haemorrhage behind my right eye, which seriously affected my vision. A letter was given to the practice by the opticians, which was to be forwarded to the eye hospital. I phoned the following day and was told the blood test I needed was routine and was booked in for two weeks time. I was advised to go to the eye hospital A&E, which I did. The eye hospital said there was nothing they could do, they needed blood test results to determine the cause of the bleed and they would send me an urgent appointment for the retina clinic, stressing that this needs to be treated quickly or my sight may not recover. I rang the medical centre the following Monday to try to get the blood test brought forward, but the rude receptionist would not budge. I phoned four times in total, explaining that the eye hosptal needed this and had to get my opticians to phone before I was eventually offered a suitable appointment. I have poor vision in my other eye and am unable to drive due to this bleed and am desperate to get it treated and very scared. The way the practice treated me was nothing short of deplorable.

Great place to go if you're feeling unwell, less advantageous if you're not, as it tends to be full of sick people. Pills and potions galore at the conveniently placed pharmacy next door. Normally parking can be found out front across twenty or so spaces.

My mother is 92, frail/low weight++with insulin dependent diabetes, insulin twice day, with significant visual impairment. She cant see her blood monitoring equipment. We have said this numerous times over 6 months in writing and otherwise. She cannot 'stock manage' her diabetes equipment either. This GP surgery deemed her able to do all these things! To the point I have had to travel from norfolk 3 times to try and get this sorted, as she is nearly in tears, thinking 'it is the equipment', when she is missing the test strip by a cm each time because she 'cant see it' !!!!.then administering the insulin anyway, shen her reading could deem it not safe to do so. BUT APPARENTLY each Nurse that has seen her deems her in to be 'independant'. Thank goodness for the receptionists that actually listened. Because numerous other GP's and Nurses have not. I used quite a lot of my annual leave as a single parent with a son who has ADHD to ckme down from norfolk to raise the same issues over and over again. Im sorry to say this G.P surgeryhas quite a significant descrimunation issue able-ist, and against old people who live alobe feail and elderly. I deeply concernedfor the rest of the older community in Clevedon, especially if they dobt gave assertive family members. Quite disgusted.
