The shawarma is a 100% minus nothing Tozo suya tastes so.delicious and the grillwd fush sauce is a banger. Love it
Very very long wait to be served, small space and gets crowded very fast. Walking through the kitchen to use toilet isn't ideal ,especially since the kitchen floor is also very greasy and slippery. Same wash handbasin for toilet and kitchen staff is kind of disgusting. The Suya and fish were however quite delicious
Starboy Restaurant is absolutely immaculate! I thoroughly enjoyed the palm wine and the meat platter. The quality, especially of the meat, was outstanding. As a Nigerian, I’m usually very picky and only trust my mum’s cooking, so I was sceptical at first. But this food completely surprised me. The flavours just kept coming and every bite was delicious. The chef is clearly extremely talented, and I would highly recommend Starboy to anyone. Whether you’ve never tried Nigerian food before or you already love African cuisine, this is the perfect place to experience it. And let me say it again: the meat platter is an absolute banger!
I walked into the shop and immediately felt unwelcome, as I noticed stares and what seemed like dirty looks from the staff. When I went to order with the manager, I received the same negative attitude and was told it would be a 30-minute wait for just one shawarma, which cost £12. After waiting the full 30 minutes, I was told it still wasn’t ready, so I ended up waiting an additional 20 minutes. I did notice that only one staff member seemed to be doing all the work, which I felt bad about, but that’s not my fault as a customer. While the shawarma itself was decent, for £12, I expected a much better experience overall. Between the poor customer service, excessive wait time, and underwhelming food, I don’t plan on returning .
Star Boy Grill in Essex serves some of the best African food I've had—it's now my go-to after trying all the top spots in London and Essex. The Jollof rice is incredible, easily some of the best I've tried, and the plantains are always perfectly cooked, never too ripe or too hard. If you're craving great Suya, this place is a must. The owner’s hospitality and the lively music create an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

The yummiest joint in town. The food is well worth it, service was excellent. I really enjoyed my time here and would definitely come back again
