This guesthouse is very well-situated, near the center of Bristol, 5 mn walk , located in a quiet neighborhood. The rooms are clean and comfortable. But the front hall is not very cosy. Only tables and chairs. Maybe you could make this room more warm and welcoming by adding sofas, sofa chairs and some decorations. The staff is very friendly. It was our first stay at this guesthouse and if we were to return to Bristol, we would stay here again.

Nice clean room, comfy bed, good shower, friendly lady let us in, great little pub next door - all good so far, BUT no sleep at all after about 2.00am as a bunch of drunk blokes were shouting up and down the passages, banging doors and being really loud for the rest of the night. They were still yelling at each other four hours later. If you stay, bring earplugs.

They took money for a booking with children then they kick you out guarantee for a refund that will never come. Don't trust this people.

Spotlessly clean room, and a decent shower. Recently refurbed, I think, and looking good. It's a neat location in Southville, with a good vibe, and a 15 minute walk to the centre of the city. The furnishings are "budget" and there are a lot of rooms here. Hence, you will have to accept a lot of noise from doors opening and closing, and people up and down on the stairs and landing outside. All in all, it suited us perfectly and Chris (proprietor) is lovely.

I booked 4 rooms for a group of family and friends as a get together after being apart for so long and because we have family living in Bristol. Over 3 months after booking I was called by the owner to say our group was too big and they would only accept a maximum of 6 people. After checking the small print, it did say this but wasn't clear at all when booking. I reduced the booking to 6 people to abide by these rules and found accommodation elsewhere for the other three people. After calling the owner to let her know, she said "Well, are you mixed gender?". The remaining 6 people were not 'mixed gender' so I explained this and she said it wouldn't be allowed. After saying that I thought this sounded like a form of discrimination, she reluctantly accepted the booking but then went on to say how they might not be offering breakfast soon and don't know how they are going to cope running the place going forward... I suspect they are trying their best to prevent stag and hen parties with the limit on people per booking, but given we were not one of these and going to be 6 people in 3 rooms, I am confused as to why we were made to feel so unwelcome! Perhaps it is my young-sounding voice on the phone as well as our remaining group not being of mixed gender?! ... We decided to cancel and book elsewhere as did not feel comfortable staying at such a place.

Granny room, rustic, classic. The heaters don't work after 12pm, so you will freeze during the night. Very noisy, you can hear all your neighbors. No shampoo, no shower gel in the bathroom. The breakfast is a bad joke. The cheapest products ever, no meat. We couldn't eat anything. One day we refused the cleaning service, we went out late and closed the door. When we returned the door was open. Poor services, big dislike

This b&b, for the price, had a lovely sized bathroom and ample sized bedroom. It was nice to have the mirror to get ready. There was easy access to plug sockets. The shower was easy to use and adjust to a good temperature. The bed was comfy, but I found the pillow too high. The lady that greeted us was very polite and friendly, asking if we knew the area. Breakfast was very good, with fresh fruit, cereals, bread, crumpets and croissants + more. A great price for a welcoming b&b.
