   Our team at Adventure Box Kids have been coming to teach music and dance classes at Funky Owls Nursery for the last 4 years. We love that Funky Owls has always been a warm and welcoming nursery and all the staff are really friendly and support us in the sessions when we come to teach there. We love seeing the children interact and thrive in the sessions and it feels very special that we get to watch their music/dance journey and growth in the sessions through from baby room to graduating as pre-schoolers. We couldn't recommend Funky Owls enough, we feel lucky that we get to see an insight into the nursery and are always amazed by how fantastic and nurturing the managers and staff are. Lots of the staff have been there since we started our classes and it's lovely to be surrounded by familiar faces. There is always something exciting happening within the nursery like sensory play areas, EYFS based activities and themed weeks, extra curricular classes (like ours!), trips out and about and they always do such beautiful themed/seasonal displays in the main hallway to greet you as you walk in. They also go out of their way to make sure everyone feels valued, including the parents and families as well, I've noticed they put thoughtful touches like a snack/fruit bowl or coffee machine as a little something as you enter/exit the nursery. We really enjoy our time spent teaching at Funky Owls and love that some of the songs we've brought into the nursery are still strong favourites that are being sung years later by the children and staff (and older siblings too!). Thank you for all being so supportive and wonderful and always being ready to go when we arrive, it's so lovely to see the excitement that greets us as we go in to teach with you every week :)

   LOVE this nursery; the values, the staff, the management are all top quality. We have complete confidence in them and haven't had a single complaint to make. More importantly though, my daughter loves going and has been there since she was 8 months old. We would 100% recommend - thank you Funky Owl team!

   Our eldest child was enrolled at this nursery for 2 years. The dedicated staff consistently provided exceptional care, ensuring our little one always emerged with a beaming smile from the day's enjoyable activities. Despite lacking a private outdoor space, the absence allowed for more exciting adventures exploring local parks, farms, and playgrounds on a daily basis. The regular updates, complete with photos and videos, kept us involved in their daily experiences. I wholeheartedly recommend Funky Owls to any parents contemplating it for their children!

   Please beware, Funky Owl has a very unscrupulous practice regarding signing up your child for the nursery. They take a £100 registration fee and if they cannot place your child for the start date you need, they keep this £100, with the offer that they will add you to a waitlist and give you the possibility to sign up for a different date someway down the line (in our case this was 5 months later). They note on one of the forms that 'the deposit is non-refundable if you do not take up your child’s place', clearly, offering a place many months away is of no use to parents, so the fee is kept. The whole thing has left us feeling like we have been scammed and while this is probably a great money spinner for the nursery, this is no way to behave. I would advise you not to send your child to a nursery with such a dubious practice. I've written to Funky Owl to give them a chance to respond and explain this behaviour before posting this review but 10 days later, I've not received a response.

   Our son attended Funky Owls for almost 3 years and we could not have been happier with the care and consideration every team member showed towards him. As he got older, he would often be telling us it was time to go to school, before we were ready to leave the house! Funky Owls remained open and safe throughout the pandemic, enabling us to continue our key working jobs. They’re passionate about child development, they’re fanatical about creating a fun environment and most of all, you get a real sense they love your child as much as you do…well, almost ;-)

   Our son attended funky owls from when he was 7 months old, during the pandemic. We were so anxious dropping him at a new place with new people, but the staff were so friendly and very quickly reassuring and he really thrived during his time there. He was always happy to be dropped off in the morning, and we loved receiving the daily pictures and updates to see what he was getting up to. We had a great experience with funky owls and would definitely recommend.

   I worked at Funky Owls nursery for over a year, in that time I learnt and progressed drastically. It is an outstanding nursery and I was a proud member of the team! The nursery offer so many amazing opportunities to all of the children in the setting, their modern approach and ethos truly inspired my practice. I would encourage anyone that is enthusiastic about working with children to join the team!

   Funky Owls is such a lovely nursery with fantastic staff. After our previous experiences at a larger 'chain' nursery, it's been so wonderful to send our daughters to a setting with a great emphasis on community and where all the staff know all the children. An added bonus are the great extra curricular activities, such as tennis and music. Our shy 3 yo old now loves going to nursery and our cheeky 20 month old has been supported so well since she joined as a baby. We cannot fault our experience with Funky Owls and we are excited to see the new venue once it's finished!
