   We took our daughter to this nursery from the time she was in the baby room until we moved abroad, when she was almost three years old. Our experience was truly excellent from start to finish. The staff were always caring and very professional. We could clearly see our daughter’s development — not only in her learning and communication skills, but also in her confidence and social abilities. The environment was warm and stimulating, and we always felt she was safe and well looked after. We’re very grateful for the dedication of the team and the genuine affection they showed every day. It’s hard to say goodbye to such a wonderful place. We wholeheartedly recommend this nursery to any family looking for a nurturing and professional early-years experience.

   This is a really lovely nursery. I am so grateful it was recommended to us. The staff are incredibly kind and caring and we felt they had a genuine bond with our daughter. Our daughter was settled in the baby room from day one and loved going there. They do lots of varied creative activities with the children, including cooking together every week. The food, made by their full time chef, is also fantastic. Our daughter ate everything there without fail. I’d wholeheartedly recommend this nursery to anyone. We were very sad when the time came to leave.

   Both my son and daughter attend/ed HDN from 12 months old. I have been nothing but delighted with the care they’ve received. It is meticulously clean (considerably more so than any other nursery I visited) and food is cooked on site which I found really attractive. My kids settled within the first two days, have always bounded in every morning and left with a smile on their face despite the long days. The staff are really affectionate and gentle with them, and they have developed so much since starting. A special shout out to Emily and Andreea from the baby room who my son seems to love as much as his own parents! When we first joined there wasn’t a great deal of parental involvement - today, they make a huge amount of effort to involve parents with themed days where parents can go in and read stories, do activities etc. they also make an amazing end of year book filled with all the crafts from the previous terms and it’s amazing to sift through and have as a keepsake. Chris (owner) is really receptive to feedback and I loved his approach from day one. He’s focused on children’s learning, while ensuring it’s a fun environment for all. HDN is one of those “less known about” nurseries but I want to take this opportunity to shout from the rooftop how much we love it. I truly do recommend it to any parent in the area and can’t thank the staff enough for making my transition back to work so seamless. Leilah

   My daughter has really enjoyed her time at Hornsey Day Nursery. Her development in all areas has been astounding and I can only put that down to the commitment, professionalism, attentiveness and dedication of the teachers and staff. Everyday morning Ruby is greeted with a smile. After the first couple of weeks of being unsure and shy she now strides in confidently and happy to spend the day at nursery. For a parent who wants the best for their child there is no more reassuring sight than that. I cannot rate the teachers, staff and nursery highly enough.

   Our daughter went here from the age of 6 months until she started school at 4.5 years. Hornsey Day was one of several nurseries we visited, and we immediately knew this was the right one for us. The atmosphere is calm, warm and happy, and my daughter was always delighted at drop off and and pickup - forming good bonds with her teachers and the manager. In fact, the staff were instrumental in helping us get our daughter diagnosed with coeliac disease and then were diligent (and experienced) in ensuring her diet at nursery was gluten free. We liked Hornsey Day so much that when we moved several miles away when our daughter was 2, we continued to commute to the nursery for 2.5 more years. Having canvassed many other nurseries since our move (we have another baby now and can't continue to commute), I can also attest that the nursery fees are competitive - it's excellent value for money for the area. I've recommended the nursery to several other parents - really can't speak highly enough about the place.

   Our son adored his 3 1/2 years at this nursery! The staff are all brilliant, and it is smoothly run by Yvette and Chris who really put heart into this nursery. We will miss everyone who works there now our son has started school!

   Our son joined aged 2 and 1/2 and received great care and support. All the staff are friendly, helpful and very personable. Our son always speaks fondly of all the teachers, including the external additions such as the french teacher, which the nursery provide at no extra cost. The nursery provides insight in to what they are learning about each day so we can have more engaging conversations with our son when we pick him up. Chris and the team have always been very accommodating when we needed extra days due to changes in schedules, which was greatly appreciated. They have a large outdoor area, which also includes a covered section, so the children get a lot of fresh air while they play and learn. I would recommend Hornsey Day Nursery for any parent looking for a great nursery in the area.

   Hornsey Day gave my boy the happiest possible experience. There was not a single day where he did not walk into his room with a huge smile on his face. Every day I left contented in the knowledge that he was incredibly well cared for. No, Hornsey Day doesn't have the app with daily updates and yes, a little more communication would be lovely but I was so happy to forego those things in order to see my boy progress in the way he did. The staff genuinely do go above and beyond to show care and attention to each child and really, my happy progressing boy is all the communication I really need. I would so happily recommend this nursery to everyone looking for an intimate and impossibly kind setting for their little one.
