   Earlier this year, my son was physically abused by another child at the nursery. He had scratches and bruises to his face and these marks are still present today. I raised concerns with the manager of the nursery on several occasions before the abuse occured but insufficient action was taken. Despite bringing safeguarding concerns to the manager and owners, these were not dealt with. I have raised concerns with Ofsted and I moved my son owing to serious failings in safeguarding. There has been a substantial turnover in staffing which demonstrates the culture of the nursery. Whilst the aesthetics of the building are attractive, children are not safe and staff are unhappy.

   I wanted to share my experience with Little Elms. My daughter started when she was 9 months old and is now 2.5, and she’s always been really happy there. Right from the start, I felt so supported by the staff—especially in the first year when she needed regular medication. They always went the extra mile to make sure everything was handled properly, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. In the toddler room, she’s been really loved and cared for. She’s always excited to go to nursery—even after long holidays—and she comes home singing all the songs she’s learned, which is such a joy. The staff are always kind, supportive, and welcoming, and I really appreciate how they encourage her multilingual development, as we speak two languages at home. The regular updates and photos of all the fun activities are also such a nice touch and much appreciated! Thank you Little Elms for everything you do!

   It’s really sad to see Little Elms go downhill following the recent leadership change. We had always been very happy with the nursery - both our children attended for years. Unfortunately, recent management changes have created a noticeably negative vibe at the nursery and led to the resignation of several long-standing, valued staff members. This has meant an unusually high staff turnover, which unsettled our son and left us worried. Despite raising our concerns about the pace of changes implemented and staff retention - on the parenting day and in follow-up meetings - not much improved. Staff seemed demotivated and us parents felt unheard. As a result, we moved our son to another nursery, where he is now thriving in a much more positive environment. To make things worse, Little Elms continued claiming council funding for our son after he had stopped attending Little Elms (!) which we reported when we found out. A real shame to see a once-loved nursery take such a negative turn.

   Brilliant nursery. All the staff are fantastic and always welcome him to start the day with a smile and everyone is a friendly face. The rooms are lovely and garden is great. His days are always filled with exciting activities and he really enjoys it. Throughout Covid the team were amazing and I can't thank them all enough for their efforts. He loves the menu there too which is all credit to the chefs serving a brilliant selection. Would definitely recommend!

   Little Elms is a wonderful place. Since my child started a few months ago he has already made big advances in his development thanks to the Little Elms team. It has a very friendly atmosphere with lots of great facilities and activities available. But most importantly, each day without fail he is met with kindness and enthusiasm from all of the staff. Highly recommend!

   From my sons settles until now, Little Elms have always been amazing at providing my little boy with the same care and routine he would have at home. They have settled him into the nursery well and provide updates each week of his development.
