   Kindred Shortlands for the win!! As a very nervous and anxious first time mum of a very anti-social toddler, the support from the staff is undeniably outstanding. My child settled in and became very comfortable very quickly. Happy to attend nursery and sometimes doesn't want to leave! The extra activities are a great idea! I will definitely recommend Kindred Shortlands.

   Meals are offred frequently and outdoor activities are good. But the staffs seem busy all the time and I could see there were always bank staffs. I am not complaining any single staff and I can see some of them are trying hard but the management is a bit problematic. I can see some kids wearing wet socks but no one pays attention to it, and no effective interventions happen when kids were not getting along. In fact, my kid had wet accident almost everyday and in the end we have no more dry shoes. Socks, jumpers, coats were lost all the time while wrong clothes were often found in my kid's bag. Communication with staffs were often a bit rush. To be honest, it's hard to trust that they could provide the kids with care and attention.

   Our son attended Kindred Shortlands the last 9 months. Seeing the warmth of the staff towards the children helped settle our early nerves. Every morning we dropped him off knowing that he will be taken good care of and it gives us immense joy to see how far he has come. He joined as a shy toddler and graduated as a confident pre-schooler. We would definitely recommend Kindred to any parents looking for a safe and loving nursery to leave their little ones in.

   “Kindred Nursery is the best in the area! The nursery manager is very supportive and accommodating, and the staff are amazing. My child struggled to settle in a previous nursery, but here he quickly felt comfortable and was happily staying for 5 hours. He absolutely loves his teachers, especially Kezia, and the whole team is wonderful. Truly the best experience we could ask for!”

   Staff are all very friendly, the place feels safe and the on site chef is a great bonus but we got hardly any updates when our baby was there, even after specifically requesting photos / updates via the messaging app. The app was also always missing information on nap times and meals he’d had that day and a couple of times had to call to find out if he’d had a nap or eaten lunch that day. They just didn’t update it consistently which was very frustrating and gives it all a bit of a lacklustre feel. As I said, nice place but just didn’t feel reassured our child was developing or thriving there as we never really knew what he was up to. We also informed the staff when he was crawling, cruising and eventually walking but feel they didn’t encourage this with him or pay attention when we said it. There were a number of occasions where this became apparent from conversations at drop off and pick up time. Having had his elder sister in other nurseries, we are aware that regular and consistent updates can happen and make a huge difference to a parents well being. He has since started at a new nursery and after day 1, we immediately feel more comfortable with the updates on the app and the conversations we’ve had with staff about his time there. I’ve heard the toddler room at kindred is much better with regards to this though so perhaps it is just a baby room issue.

   In my opinion Sunnyfield is the best nursery in the local area. It's amazing to see how our two year old came out of his shell- he loves going to nursery every morning. The team is absolutely fantastic here. Special thanks to Lisa, Sharon, Ellis, Megan and Caitlin who did doing such a good job looking after our son. Highly recommended!

   I can't recommend Sunnyfields Day Nursery enough to any local parents needing childcare. Set in a beautiful large Victorian building and over two floors I was really pleasantly surprised by how large the three rooms were. Unlike many other nurseries I had seen, even the baby room was big and bright, had its own adjoining sleeping room for babies, nap times and own outdoor area dedicated to babies. I loved that while the rooms were large, they weren't really heavily occupied. rooms were clean, full of amazing toys, activities and arts and craft equipment which kept my children really entertained throughout the day. All children have access to a really great large rear garden. They enjoyed growing vegetables, adventures on the climbing frames and tunnels, playing with the mud kitchen and scooting up and down on ride on toys and trikes etc. My children would absolutely crash out at bedtime after their days at Sunnyfields! Most importantly of course is the love and care of the staff at Sunnyfields. My children and I really developed great relationships they developed with the staff. I had three children attend - my youngest still goes. Staff are fantastic at communicating with parents, they are very experienced, caring, and patient. They have helped with any difficulties or anxieties we have had along the way and it's nice that they are a stable and close knit team. If you want a placement that offers a wide range of resources and lots of space but that still feels personal, more 'family-like' and less like a 'business' or 'exchange' then you have to put Sunnyfields on your list of nurseries to visit! Thank you so much Lisa, Sharon and the rest of the team for looking after my three!

   Fantastic nursery. Both our kids go to Sunnyfields and no problems there. There is flexible extension of baby-sitting service for those who struggle with the standard hours from time to time. The activities for the kids varies including playtime in garden. There is an annual summer fair with lots of fun for the little ones.
