Excellent one-day tour to Castle Combe, Lacock, Avebury and Stonehenge from Bath. John's explanations were clear and we had enough time to enjoy each of the locations. It was a super enjoyable and dynamic experience.
What a wild ride. Our guide, Kevin, knew everything about everything. We got the Stonehenge early before the crowds. We got to go close to the stones. Kevin told us the secrets of getting in and out of places and, he told us a lot of other stuff that you’ll only know if you go on the tour. Mad Max tours is thoughtful, professional, and they actually care about people. Not once did anyone leave without anyone. I would go on the store again, we took the Stonehenge tour, but we would do the cots walls tour as well. If there are two thoughts that I would leave with you about this tour, the first is to go do it. The second is to ask for Kevin, and be sure when you get on the bus to ask him to turn on the air. We got to England in the hottest part of the 2025 summer. Would definitely do this again.
My husband and I had an amazing day with Bill and our mini bus last month! I highly recommend this tour. We didn’t have to drive and we learned all kinds of new and interesting things. Extra shout out to Bill we had a young lady with her family with a significant disability and he was excellent about ensuring that she was included and treated with respect right off the bat. This special education teacher was really impressed. Thank you for sharing your piece of the world with us!
Myself & a friend went on the Cotswold tour on March 31st. Richard was our guide & he was excellent, with some great stories. We got to see lovely small towns such as Castle Combe and Bourton-on-the-Water which would have been difficult to reach otherwise without a car. Given the width & winding nature of some of the roads we travelled, I was very glad that someone else was doing the driving! Maddy's recorded pieces were really enlightening. As a keen Tolkien reader, I was interested to see the two trees either side of the church door in Stow - definitely reminiscent of the doors to Moria. Having just a small group certainly made a difference - and was much more manageable.
Stonehenge, Cotswold villages, Avebury stone circles tour We took this lovely tour. We arrived early in the morning and enjoyed Stonehenge without crowds.Visiting time was 2 hours. Then we visited Avebury stone circles for an hour. Our next,lunch stop,was Lacock,this beautiful little village. We kad 3 hours there and a guided visit.Then,our last stop was great Castle Combe,the most beautiful village of the tour. Wonderful day trip from Bath!

Our tour guide, Tim, the policeman, took us on a wonderfully organized and relaxing tour of Stonehenge, Avebury and Cotswolds from Bath. He was very professional, kind and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to make the trip memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommended
Tour 3 to Castle Combe, Lacock and Stonehenge was WONDERFUL! Tour guide Colin was fun and knowledgeable. I enjoyed the small group size and the walk into the Stones was incredible. We also had dinner at Sign of the Angel which was a gorgeous old inn but delicious modern food.
If you're in Bath, you cannot get a better service than these guys. Excellent tours with extensive knowledge of the area and very entertaining. Thoroughly recommended!
