These guys used to be terrible beyond measure but have a new manager now and are great! Way better service!

Absolutely lovely staff, always very helpful and courteous. Often go the extra mile. Super convenient to have this pharmacy so close to the surgery.

Got to the chemist at 1258. Wouldn’t let me in as they shut for lunch 1300-1400. Would have taken one minute to buy something. Very annoying. They should change their closing times to 1250-1400 if they won’t let customers in after a certain time. Their manner is also terrible.

I have been using soods chemists for the last 30 years . I put a prescription in and was told it would be ready in 4 days . I waited the 4 days and was told it was not ready apparently the doctor haven't signed it off . I was told by the surgery it was ready to pick up but waited until the next day prescription was not ready . Please come back in two days this was 3 o'clock on a Friday I was told it was not ready and maybe available on the Monday I explained I needed the insulin and other medications for my diabetes. I was told they could give me back my prescription and try another chemists , I explained I needed the medication and dident want to drive around Bristol looking for medications on a Friday night . Eventually through desperation I went to another chemists and they gave me all apart from 1 medication Pick up on Monday . I was totally let down by them they have new owners and they are very poor no communication and unpleasant. I will not be using them in the future

Second time I’ve made the mistake of trying to get a prescription here. Completely ignored by the cashier putting stock on the shelf and left me standing at the desk without saying a word and the two pharmacists further behind didn’t even look up. Didn’t have the drugs in stock but could get them after 3pm the following day. Asked if it was a common drug to be stocked at a pharmacy to be told “I can’t speak for other pharmacies’. I asked again do you normally stock it “I don’t know’. Please go to the Pharmacy on Ashley Down road. Couldn’t be more helpful and had the stock there and then! Gave lots of help and advice too! Can only assume they get enough custom as it’s next door to the surgery. Please don’t give them any more money.

This pharmacy must only still be operating because of the proximity to the GP Practice. If you are thinking that it is convenient, however, please think again. I have been registered with them for more than 4 years. They are closed for lunch (13:00 - 14:00). They close earlier than the other local pharmacies on a Saturday.) If this pharmacy was located in a rural village it would be understandable; however this is not the case. It is NOT THE RIGHT CHOICE for working people who have families or other commitments. On occasion they have been rude and obstructive about picking up perscriptions "too late" or "too soon". Please consider ALL OF THE 1 STAR REVIEWS and register elsewhere.

My experience is variable with this chemist sadly, which is a shame because they are local to me. I’ve had good experiences in the past, but the reality is this isn’t somewhere you can trust to be consistently reliable. More than once I’ve been given the wrong medication and my experience is you cannot have a conversation as you’d expect with an experienced pharmacist about drug efficacy, or ask questions about the medication. It also takes forever to get served (there may be 4 staff members and only 2 customers, yet expect a 15min wait time). They also shut for an hour for lunch, which seems a little ludicrous in our day and age; it certainly isn’t done anywhere else. My partner has had similar frustrating experiences and trying to collect medication for my daughter hasn’t worked out successfully for us. I wouldn’t usually waste my time with negative reviews but my advice to anyone using this pharmacy would be to double check the medication before leaving (just because your name is on the front, doesn’t mean the medication inside is correct) and give yourself plenty of time. In fact my experience is the longer the wait time, the more likely there is likely an issue. I really want to support the high street but after being one of 3 people experiencing an issue today (the other two being strangers to me) I’m afraid I’m going back to using an online pharmacy to avoid issues and unnecessary stress.

We are old and have visited Sood's all too often over 10 years or more. The staff are always competent and pleasant, if not smarmy. Good advice from the pharmacist triggered this review.

I don't normally write reviews but if this helps somebody else then here we go. This chemist provides the worst customer service I have encountered recently across all of the businesses that I have come across. I ordered some antibiotics via the doctor and I was given antidepressants happily taking them for a few days until I realised after searching the Brand name.. I complained and was told they were very sorry. The error came about because another person with a similar name had a prescription waiting. My address was not checked at the time. The next time that I went in the same person gave me another prescription and guess what.. Didn't ask me my address so the mistake could have easily happened again. **Please check that you have been given the correct prescriptions when dealing with this business.** The reason I have been prompted to write this is because I wanted a repeat prescription for a skin condition. I called up to request it. She said I could request via the doctor or them. Not knowing the process behind it I was told to pick it up on Wednesday. I am away next week and her reply was a terse "You should have ordered it earlier" I asked why if they had the product in stock I couldn't pick it up to which she then explained the process to me. I then asked, can you call me when it comes in please? "No you need to call us" How will I know when it is in? Just call us on Tuesday. Really unhelpful and rude. This chemist also closes for lunch for an hour. I assume that most 'customers' would like to get their prescriptions and as they are providing a service that is partially funded by the taxpayer to the tax paying public in the modern world. I am not quite sure why this is the case. They have a prime position next to our doctors surgery and a consistent flow of patients and their associated 'Business' and I think it is disgusting that they can abuse their position and their customers because of it. Especially when pharmacies are privately owned businesses that are partially funded by the tax payer. i.e. You and me.

Rarely opens on time. Have made me late for work on several occasions. I guess the owners like their lie-ins. Staff also very unfriendly, and act like they’re doing you a favour. Customers seem like a nuisance to them.
