   After more than 10 years of being dismissed by various gynaecologists who told me that my pain couldn’t be endometriosis because my MRI scans were negative, Dr Di Donato was the first to truly listen. From the very first consultation, she carefully listened to my symptoms and through her examination, instantly suspected endometriosis. Even though my MRI came back clear again, she trusted my instinct and experience and suggested a laparoscopy, and she was right. The surgery revealed an extensive level of endometriosis that she carefully removed. The procedure went perfectly and my recovery was so much faster and smoother than I could have imagined. Within just one week I could already return to most of my daily activities and the stitches were healing perfectly and were so tiny. When it comes to my overall body and endo symptoms, just a month later I could already feel the difference, both physically and emotionally. My body feels lighter, my overall symptoms have eased and even the digestive issues I have struggled with for years have already improved. I would say that Dr Di Donato is not only exceptionally skilled but also deeply human, with a balance of expertise, empathy and precision that makes me feel safe and understood throughout the whole process. The care I received at The Wellington Hospital was also outstanding, the staff were kind, attentive and reassuring at every step. I felt supported from start to finish. To anyone who suspects they might have endometriosis and feels unheard: trust Dr Di Donato with your eyes closed. She listens, she understands and she acts with precision and compassion.
