Not long got back from having my covid booster and flu vaccinations at locking pharmacy. I booked my appointment previously (online) for 11:30 am as I had another appointment elsewhere for 12:30 pm. I joined the que at 11:15 and it was pretty long then. 11:30 soon passes. I don't reach the check I'm area until around 12pm. By this time I'm debating whether or not to stay as I had a toddler with me who was becoming more and more anxious. I give my details to check in. I must have given them 3 times. Someone behind the counter saw how anxious and fed up my son was becoming and found some books for him to look at (this is why I'm giving 2 stars rather than 1), didn't catch your name but thank you for helping. I get called through, just wanted to be vaccinated and gone. Had to go through my details another 2 times. I explain that I am in a super rush. Vaccinations are done and I'm on my way at about 12:15 pm. I believe the majority of people in that que were walk-ins as I heard a few people say they'd been back and fore a number of times that morning because of the ques... maybe it would be best to have walk-ins at a certain time slot because I felt it was pointless me booking a space when I wasn't seen until 40 mins later. Needs to be controlled in a better way, lots of people were fed up waiting, especially when people were in the Vaccination room for over 20 odd minutes. Although this is the closest area for me to come, I think next time I'll travel a little further with the hope that they'll have a smoother operation
DO NOT GO TO THEIR VACCINATION CLINIC at the Sea Cadets Hall. It took 1h 40m, they weren't enforcing masks or distancing. They take variations of the same information off you on 4 different occasions to make the process as slow as it possibly could be. They are basically running a super spreader event it is that poorly organised and heaven forbid you raise a concern with their surly staff, this organisation is criminally negligent.
I went for my first covid vaccine today. I am more than alarmed - one of the marshalls said that after the second injection we will probably have to have photo ID to confirm that I have had both!! That does not sit comfortably with me. I do not want to have to prove that I have been vaccinated. However - several months on.... this may be the way of the future.
Extremely helpful and polite whenever I use them. Ignore the one star review from Stephen Howlett, a quick look at his review history shows that he's left near identical reviews for multiple pharmacies across the south of England. One wonders if he isn't perhaps an independent pharmacist himself making a very poor attempt at industrial sabotage!
Personally I am very grateful for the fact that Locking now has its own pharmacy. The staff are all incredibly friendly whenever I pop in. I am particularly appreciative of the fact that Martin has taken the time to understand what I need and is always very supportive. All in all, a great pharmacy!
I live on the outskirts of the village and always use locking pharmacy. They have always helped me and my family whenever I need it . If there is something they don't have in the pharmacy when i want it then they will order it in for me . As I don't drive and the shops are about five miles away it is easier just to walk to the village pharmacy and it is just across the road from my doctors surgery. They are all really nice and helpful and extremely polite to people . I for one would like to thank them for opening this shop in our lovely village.
