I've been using castle mead pharmacy for a couple of years now and they are a great team, I get informed when prescriptions are ready which is always quick. Any questions you ask they're always happy to help. Any problems you might have getting medication they go out of their way to resolve your issues eg. Contacting your doctor for you .

Perfect service. Actively concerned for my and my family’s wellbeing and almost over helpful when it comes to ordering and handling medications. Pleasant and welcoming service from ALL that have worked here. Feels like a real family chemist

A bit of a wait but the fMlu jab was painless. Maggie who gave me the jab was very friendly. I had no worries at all.

This is an absolutely awful pharmacy. Rang over 50 times during the course of the day for them to finally answer at 2 minutes before they close. Trying to organise collection for my elderly grandad. Always has to wait - no apology when doing so. Find another pharmacy. My local one is absolutely fantastic. We will definitely be using a different one going forward.

Used to highly rate this pharmacy but unfortunately the service has hit rock bottom. On my last visit I was queuing for 40 mins before being served (pick up prescription). The staff were so busy doing other tasks, they didn't look up or acknowledge any customers for a whole 20 mins. In this time a further 12 people joined the queue. once we were finally served, there was no apology or explanation. And further waits if they hadn't got your prescription ready. The store was tatty and some shelved empty. The stock was piled up behind the counter. And the staff oblivious to what was going on around them, even had the nerve to see if each other wanted a cuppa before serving the queuing customers. Sadly this wasn't an odd busy day, it was queuing so badly yesterday I didn't bother joining it and the day before another queue with a delivery van blocking entrance and sign saying stor was closing at 1pm for 3 hours.

They were supposed to be open from 9am till 6pm today. Instead they were open for an hour and a half from 1:30 till 3pm. I had stood in a 45 minute que yesterday and an hour and 20 min que today to get my prescription. No patient confidentiality will often call out what the medication is for in front of other customers. They are never ready and seemed to be constantly understaffed.

In 4 years of collecting prescriptions from this pharmacy, they have -never- been ready. At best, it's been a 10-20 minutes wait or having to go back. On several occasions I have had to make enquiries with my surgery, and it always transpired that the prescription was already with the pharmacy! Customer service could be improved, too: one helpful person, but several in need of training.
