I loved ecstatic prance. My rave days of the 90s are over but I so miss dancing, aerobics and Zumba and that kind of thing can get repetitive. Even though most people were probably in their 20, 30s etc there were some like me who were older and it was a very happy non judgmental space. You just turn up dance in whatever way you like then go home. No one leads it, just a couple of rules about not getting into people’s space etc. Someone does the playlist each week so there is a great variety. The space is dark enough to lose yourself but not bump into people and the sound system and lights are all good giving the feel of a proper night out rather than an exercise session. At times I tried some ridiculous shapes and was a bit silly, no one cared at all. I came out feeling amazing. Someone had made some cake at the end, how lovely! I can’t wait to go again
