   Extremely disappointed with psychology direct and how they handled my sons EP re-assessment. The EP never met my family or son and made judgements based on paperwork alone. I was unaware a re-assessment was even happening and the EP made judgements which did not make sense. The agency state they are ethical yet my experience is that they get reports out as quickly as possible for the local authorities and loose sight of the children and families. Psychological reports are deeply personal and speed should not be the driving force. As a result of psychology direct my son received poor advice followed by poor educational provision which was devastating. Psychology direct state they followed local authority instructions, however, they are duty bound to ensure the HCPC and BPS standards are followed. Creating judgements on a child and family without even seeing or speaking to them is not acceptable conduct and very harmful to young people's mental health and well being. The EP also gave wrong information about masking and was discriminatory towards Autism.
